The best Firefox extension, and excellent tutorial
A extensão mais útil que existe.
Ótimo tutorial, vale a pena ler.
I count on this extension to make the Web my own by saving content which may not persist. The export function simplifies collecting web page content and transferring it to a USB drive or burning to a CD. I use this capability to keep tutorials for programs I use so that they can be readily accessed whenever needed. Thanks for this great add-on!
Since its creation I have used Scrapbook to accumulate anything from instructions for my phone, historical information, how to information to fleeting news events.
Web sites come and go as well as the information that they offer. Scrapbook is a logical and fun extension to save bits and pieces of ones travels on the WWW.
One of my favorite extensions to use.
Thank you for developing Scrapbook. I've been using for about 1.5 years. I usually capture only small portions of web-pages for future reference or printing, and this allows you to do that quickly. It also has a search feature which allows you to search your saved captures. Excellent!
really cool, highly recommend to everyone who wants to organize his/her web-document
An must have extension, but you loose your scrapbooks on an new computer so the portability is not handled.
After using Scrapbook for a year, I have found it to be the most useful extension of Firefox that I have. I continually use it to capture everything from little snippets of text to whole web pages. These are readily recalled and used from folders I created and maintain. I still haven't used all the features. Summary: This is a great tool.
It\'s not just one of the best addons developed. For me, it is the best addon. And it is one of the best applications, I have installed on my machine. I use it often a day. \r\n\r\nI have created different (multi) scrapbooks. I store information about downloaded software in one of the mulit scrapbook. I store information about programming (my work) in onother multi scrapbook. And so on. Switching the books is easily. After switching, the \"recent\" list of the actual scrapbook is the correct. This is just a little small \"so should it be\" - and so useful.\r\n\r\nScrapBook is one of the rare software products, were everything works. I never had run into an error in version 184.108.40.206.\r\n\r\nI use it so often and like so much to use it, that I really wanted to say: Good work and thank you to the developer(s).
Better than several other web page savers I have tried. This one allows you to high light and annotate the saved web page. Other savers allow key words but this ability extends far beyond that.
This ability makes this useful for real research.
So far, I really like the functionality. It's great for news websites, and others that expire.
However... I would really like to be able to save the scrapbook bookmarks in my regula bookmarks, so that I have to look only one place for something I read?
Finally you added the Arabic localization (the third most important language in the world)...
So congratulations Gomita for the PERFECT work that you're doing in your add-on. For me the add-on became as important as Firefox in itself...
This extension is the reason why I still use Mozilla firefox.
For those Firefox users who are not familiar with Scrapbook you are in for a real treat! Simply put, Scrapbook is one of best extensions ever developed...period. ( by Murota Labs in Japan) If you enjoy saving stuff off the internet then this add-on is an absolute must have. This feature packed extension is one of my favorites, and definitely in my top six. With Scrapbook you can capture and save web pages, parts of web pages, linked web pages, frames, files (PDF, Flash, Or XML.), all tabs in a window, and images. It has a recapture feature. You can bookmark with Scrapbook, and you can download linked files. The list of features goes on and on. You can organize things in Scrapbook in a sidebar set up like a bookmark tree. You can edit material (before and after capture), use a customizable highlighter, and even erase unwanted HTML elements with the DOM eraser. This extension even has three different types of sticky annotation that allow you to write text to a saved page. Lets not forget the two different types of searches it can do, filtering and full text search. And if that's not enough there are tools that allow you to manage, combine, import/export, capture multiple URLs, sort, calculate size, and output tree as HTML. (so things can be viewed in other browsers). Lastly this extraordinary extension also has an option to set up multi Scrapbooks with multiple destination directories. Even with all the things I mentioned I didn't cover anywhere near all of Scrapbook's feature set. You would think that with all that this extension has to offer that there would be a steeper than average learning curve. That is true, but to aid the user you can download a well written 50 page PDF tutorial that takes you through everything. Scrapbook really is one exceptional add-on and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!
I can not believe this is not at the top of the list! How many times have you bookmarked a page for later reference and then find out it changes or becomes 404? This add-on lets you download a page, or an entire site to your computer for later reference at anytime. To the developer: Thank you!
hi, thanks for this great ext.
i have feature request:
1. add possibility to capture pages with/without active links on page (with option to on/of active link capture, so i can decide whether i want to be able to connect to the links later or not)
2. pleaseeee i need more scrapbook toolbar buttons :-))
**especially toolbar button for simple capture page (could have two buttons: one capturing automaticaly to default folder and other with dropdown of folders like now) and simple capture all open tabs (default and dropdown)
having only right click way to simple capturing is very annoying, as i work mostly on notebook with touchpad often only using one hand
thank you again
