Context menu interfering Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
I cannot find an email address (or any contact details) for the developer, so I am posting this here.
There appears to be a bug in the latest (1.0.5) version that causes the context menu (right-click menu) to appear when ctrl/shift-right-clicking a word. This makes it really annoying to use the add-on.
With this bug fixed I rate this add-on 4/5, very useful for people who frequently use wikipedia/wiktionary.
The functionality is similar to WikiLook, but the feel of QuickWiki is much nicer, and it looks better. Also if there is ambiguity on the word that is being looked up, WikiLooks appears to display some arbitrary matching article, while QuickWIki displays the disambiguation page -- much better!
Besides the bug, there is one thing that could be improved; QuickWiki opens the wiki article with exactly the name that is clicked on, if this title does not exists a search on wikipedia should be done! This is what WikiLooks does. I found this when simply clicking around on all words I could find, and when the word is not in its elementary form the match fails. However, in many cases the plural form etc is redirected in wikipedia. ie apples -> apple automatically. One word for which this does not work is "disadvantages", ctrl-right-click that using QuickWiki and you will see that it fails, WikiLooks on the other hand does the right thing and shows the article for "disadvantage". I assume this is done by first performing a search on wikipedia, then opening the article corresponding to the first search result.
