Very useful app with one problem (for me at least) Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

Very useful app.

One nuisance for me is that the when copying from one calendar to a google calendar it automatically sends out an email to all the guest list. eg. If I am invited to event A. And I copy Event A to Google Calendar. I send out invites to everyone on the guest list.

Very nice Add-On Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

This add on is the best way to sync between Lightning/IceOwl and Google Calendar. Since it also sync with Google Tasks, it is really great.

Wish: Display different Task-Lists separated to have better focus on a List.

Custom reminder bug Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

Hello, thanks for your reply. You mean contact Google support, right?
The reminder can be one or more days before, it doesn't matter. Even minutes or hours, or multiple reminders.
If I use CalDAV everything works fine (minus the email notifications, of course.

Reminders Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen

It's an indispensable extension if you use Google Calendar, but unfortunately it comes with a major annoyance: the same reminder keeps popping up again and again no matter how many times I dismiss it.

About authentication woes ;) Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Ref: Flawed but necessary Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I had the same problem. It would ask me to authenticate everytime I would open thunderbird.
The solution: When creating a new google calendar don't forget to create a new session. After you select new calendar > on the network > google calendar it is requesting to select a session or create a new one. Just input your google e-mail. Solved ;)

(one has to turn off the EWS Provider then configure google calendar and turn it on again)

New To Provider Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Not having had much experience linking Thunderbird + Lightning + Google Calendar I have to say that the Provider process streamlines the setup making it much simpler and more intuitive. I am happy to report that in the 30 minutes since I began using Provider I have not encountered any problems that could not be solved by RTFM!

Working or not?! Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I have two machines running TB 45.2.0 but the add-on only works on one of them. It works on Ubuntu 12.04 while it does not work on 16.04. I have cookies enabled ("always") and Javascript is enabled by default on both. So from that point of view they are configured identically but still they do behave differently, namely one can access Google calendars while the other one cannot.

If there is a way I can help at shooting the trouble with this test set-up, let me know here. Myself, I have not been able to find a clue about what is going wrong but maybe there is a way to find out?

PS: I have put down five stars because the add-on does provide highly important functionality when it is working (as it has up to about one or two months ago). So let's make it work again!

Please contact email support for more information and thank you for leaving a five star review!

Google authentication fails, requires Javascript enabled Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

The behaviour I see is quite different, the plug-in does not work but the message I get tells me I have Javascript disabled.
I have already enabled cookies from anyone, it was no good

Update: setting javascript.enabled to true - as suggested by Philipp - did work. Thank you. Could be that the last TB update reverted the boolean ? (BTW javascript.enabled is safe, it does not enable javascript in email)

Please go to the advanced config editor and check if javascript.enabled is set to true. You can find it in the Options > Advanced > General > Config Editor.

Stop Working a week ago Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

As Responded by jonmyers, Enable cookies in Thunderbird and not the browser. Works just fine now. If Philipp the Developer added this note in the Add-ons description a lot of complaints would not be written.

I'd much rather fix the cookie bug by properly making an exception or enabling cookies only for the login dialog. I'll see if I can get to this soon though. Thanks for the feedback!

Prev review vanished - Got it working Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

My previous review (which seems to have vanished) indicated that Provider for Google Calendar was not working. I played around a but and found (I think) that reinstalling Exchange EWS Provider fixed it

Sorry the previous review vanished. If it contained URLs it is auto-flagged for review by the reviewers and there are some other cases.

This one seemed to stick though. Thanks for the note on the EWS provider. There is a bug in some versions of it that would cause the new calendar dialog to not work, all you need to do here is disable the EWS provider while adding new calendars.

I'm glad things are working now!

Enable Cookies in THUNDERBIRD (not your Browser) and it works Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

It works again, but you must enable cookies in Thunderbird, not your browser, as the stupid popup window tells you. Tools>Options>Privacy>Accept Cookies......

Unable to Authenticate Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Something happened overnight. I cannot get Thunderbird to authenticate access to my Calendar accounts.

Instead, I get routed to a Google help page about enabling cookies.

There's no indication of what to do.

Coming here has helped - but this isn't apparent - would be very useful to have an alert from either T-bird or Provider

Unable to Authenticate Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

This is a great plugin. I have been using it for over 5 years. As of last week unable to authenticate to new calendars. I tried the cookie setting but not working. Something change with either Thunderbird or Goggle. Please advise on possible fix. Let me know if you need any additional info to help.

Please get back to me via the support email and I am sure we can sort things out!

Flawed but necessary Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen

Necessary but it is a pain to have to log in every time I open my windows desktop computer.. especially as it takes three distinct steps and the accept button is not visible and the window not resizable. Tab key works most of the time but not always.. plus I get two emails on my phone and computer to tell me I have logged.. I know that.. and it has been a pain doing it! And I have enabled cookies but not improvement.

Could you try unsubscribing from all Google Calendars and then setting them up again? Normally it should work without issues. Please note that re-subscribing may take a while with large calendars since a full sync needs to happen on the first refresh.

Google Authentication Currently Broken - see below for fix. Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

Great extension, but now only authenticates with Google correctly if you have cookies enabled.

Thunderbird/Google/Addon changed something, so now you need to change Options / Privacy / "Accept Cookies from sites" to ticked.

("Keep cookies until I close Thunderbird" will work).

Essential addon if you need to work with Google calendars.
