OPAL Redesign is a browser extension for Firefox and Chrome/Chromium that improves the OPAL learning platform with a cleaner interface, faster navigation, and useful productivity features.

Features:
- Modern dashboard with widgets for courses, favorites, calendar entries, deadlines, canteen menus, news, and more
- Command center with local search for courses, pages, folders, and files
- Local search index to quickly find OPAL content again
- Automatic detection of files and course sections on OPAL pages

- Options page for exporting, importing, and deleting local extension data

Privacy:
OPAL Redesign processes OPAL data primarily locally in your browser. The extension does not operate its own backend server for OPAL data, does not send telemetry, and does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics.

Language requirement:
OPAL must be set to German. The extension relies on German OPAL interface text and labels to reliably detect menus, buttons, portlets, course sections, and other page content. Other OPAL interface languages are not officially supported and may cause parts of the extension to stop working correctly.

OPAL Redesign is an unofficial project and is not affiliated with OPAL, BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen, TU Dresden, or any other university.

The extension only changes how OPAL is displayed and used in the browser. It may contain bugs, display incomplete information, fail to detect OPAL pages correctly, or
stop working after OPAL changes.

Users are responsible for verifying important deadlines, course materials, assignments, files, messages, and other study-related information in the official OPAL
interface.
