I'm actually reviewing the stand alone pro version. It is magic and I sincerely hope the source can be located and maintained. It seems to operate on the whole system, not just FF. Without FF running it dropped my Win7 memory use from over 50% to 25% and with FF from a system crippling 90% to 40%. Terribly sad about Richard. He seems to have had some wizard in him.
Works great (5 stars) on one Win XP computer, doesn't work at all(1 star) on another Win XP computer. And no obvious way to troubleshoot this problem. I've tried to install MemoryFox Pro, but it "can't expand "pf464"constant on this version of windows", so it won't install on my WinXP computers.
Is there a MemoryFox Pro version that will install to Windows XP?
After re-installing MemoryFox two times, it's now working on my other computer. So 5 stars for being so useful.
9-27-18...just tried to install Memory Fox Next on my WinXP Firefox 52.9 ESR. This error message popped up: Memory Fox failed to add button to toolbar. Reference error: BrowseToolBoxCustomizeDone is not defined. And no button anywhere. I looked at GitHub for help, but not only is GitHub hard to figure out for a non-programmer, but the last mention of a bug was in 2016 (same bug as I just reported) with no answer from the developer. So I suppose that means no support. I think I'll try to other version Memory Fox without the Next, since I'm getting a button with those installations on the same computer.
The add-on works as advertised, but I am experiencing a weird glitch: whenever Memory Fox Next is active (it doesn't matter if only for browser or for all processes), it slows down and speeds up audio tempo just a tad at random - slightly enough to be unnoticeable when watching a movie, but noticeably enough to be really annoying when listening to music. Other than that, amazing add-on.
I know I'm not supposed to report bugs here, but I still think it's worth mentioning to potential users.
after a couple of days working awesomely, it started to give problems... waiting for the next update. Also a bit surprising: searching for "Memory Fox Next" in the search box does not yield any result...
I just found out my anti-virus(kaspersky) software block notifier, popup a lot. So when we install Memory Fox that dialog will showup! It very wired I had been disable your addon and also reinstall firefox, but dialog still showup, utill I disable anti-virus software.
Joe B, thanks for providing a serial. and thanks to this developer for the link to pro version. Now I just need a geek to help me make the settings. I'm having serious memory issues with a computer that is just limping along until death takes it. Last HP system for me.
