Would not download/install
I was looking for software that checked the links in my bookmarks but this is not it. It only checks the validity of links on the web page I am viewing at the moment. I don't care about that. Just want to check my ancient bookmarks list
Emailed author to see if it was being updated. No response. Think that answers the question. Hasn't worked for a while and not going to now that FF is changing the add-on policy/coding.
Consider it dead and buried. Shame, good whilst it lasted.
Exported bookmarks to check the link validity, but not work
Simple to use. The result is also very descriptive. Hope that there is a way to stop the verifying or clearing all marks of tested links.
But there's an issue that it clears the ASPXAUTH cookie and therefore make the current session out. (I don't want to post this but I can't find where to post issue).
Simple to be used and very usefull to knowbacklink type
Good Work Dude
Awesome job here. Thank you for being so generous by sharing your work with the planet. I followed the links to your other works and I'd have to say that you seem to understand the core needs of computer users, either desktop or handheld. It's intuition on your part and it serves you well.
RAPIDGATOR.NET IS NOT WORKING WITH THIS ADDON, REST ARE WORKING NICE.
Although I believe this is a useful tool, I found that on the first page I checked, Link Checker reported a link as valid. However, clicking on link takes one to a different page reported as malware. Copying and pasting the link also gives a bad link. So use LinkChecker with caution.
I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience, however, the official LinkChecker you can download here has zero malware. I've noticed other non-Mozilla websites host extensions, modify them with malware, and make them available for download under the same name.
Please re-download this extension from here and try it again. If the problem persists it may be a bug. Otherwise, I pride myself on my extensions and would never stoop to malware. Feel free to email me directly anytime at email@example.com if you want help troubleshooting.
does exactly what I need. I thought there was a problem when it tried to check telephone numbers I had set up with "tel:" links but I added tel: as an exception to the LinkChecker addon options and it ignored the telephone number link.
Have now sent a donation - well worth it
I have used this extension for years and it is still the one that I use the most today. I LOVE IT!!!! \m/
A must have tool for anyone that works on web pages.
Thanks for this excellent little tool. I found this app by way of Deep Trawl's comparison of their product with yours . Their app is great for deep checking of an entire site, but for quick checking of specific pages I don't think LinkChecker can be beat. It will become a permanent tool in my toolchest so long as you keep it alive. And so I just donated $10 for that cause.
This is an excellent add-on, I use almost everyday to validate the web page content.
Is there a way to export the results of the add-on to a notepad or a spreadsheet?

It sounds good. I will try to use it may be i can find good stuff via this plugin
I come to know about this Add-on by SEOmoz blog post. It's quite interesting but takes too much time when page contain too many links.
This extension is very usful to check all links of a website. It still works with FF7, however, the developer does not seem to support it any more (the link to the project homepage is dead).
Great extension, but there are a few features missing:
1) The ability to pause, stop, and play the link checking process. Saves everyone bandwidth and other resources.
2) The ability to check only links you select. What's the point of the right-click menu otherwise?
Hope you consider them in future updates.
It would really be nice to have an "inclusions" list to trigger "red" links (or defined colour) based on specific URLs (relative/absolute) as a way of QA'ing for links that must not be present. I don't think I've seen this on any other link checker and would be really helpful to have.
Great plugin. Please add test of selected links only and it will be perfect simplicity! :)
