KeyForge Privacy Policy

KeyForge is designed with privacy as a core principle.

Data Collection

KeyForge does not collect, store, sell, share, analyze, profile, or otherwise use personal data for advertising, analytics, tracking, marketing, or any other secondary purpose.

The KeyForge Firefox extension does not transmit personal data, credentials, browsing history, passwords, usernames, email addresses, or vault contents to the developer, third parties, remote servers, or cloud services.

Local Processing

KeyForge works locally on the user's device.

When the user explicitly requests features such as credential autofill or save-from-login, the information required for that operation may be processed temporarily between the KeyForge Firefox extension and the locally installed KeyForge desktop application.

This processing:

occurs locally on the user's device;
is limited to the requested KeyForge function;
is not used for analytics, profiling, advertising, or tracking;
is not transmitted to the developer or any third party;
is not stored by the Firefox extension after the operation is completed.

The encrypted KeyForge vault remains under the user's control.

Third-Party Services

KeyForge does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking services, cloud storage services, or external credential-processing services.

Data Sharing

KeyForge does not sell, rent, disclose, or otherwise provide user data to third parties.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for protecting their devices, master passwords, vault files, backups, and other security credentials.

No software can guarantee absolute protection against malware, compromised operating systems, unauthorized physical access, or other security threats outside the application's control.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

KeyForge is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, absolute security, compatibility with every website, browser configuration, or operating system environment, or protection against data loss.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages, loss of data, loss of credentials, loss of access, financial loss, business interruption, or other damages resulting from the installation, use, inability to use, malfunction, or misuse of KeyForge.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if KeyForge functionality or legal requirements change.

Any updated version will state its revision date.
