Does what it says it does. Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
No need need for button, I agree with you. Disabling JS is just a feature Firefox lacks. I was surprised not to find any such button in the tool menu. Your addon fix it, well done!
Useless without instructions Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen
I couldn't find any way to toggle anything, as promised multiple times in the description. After reading some reviews, I got a clue there might be something in the menu bar, and did find the control under Tools.
So this review probably solves the problem for anyone reading reviews, but I wanted to get the appropriate star rating in for the benefit of people who don't invest that much time into choosing add-ons.
Its good but... Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
It would be better if it toggled from an add-on icon like adblockplus
I don't disable, I enable Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen
Skip to the end if you just want to really be able to disable all kinds of stuff. Rant coming:
When I visit a new domain, I whitelist it if needed - then if needed I choose whitelisting other domains the site wants to load scripts from. For example, many sites work better (and some just work) when they have their own domains and perhaps couple others (like perhaps discuss, if you wan't to see the comments and they use that crap), but they also want to load boatload of unnecessary privacy violating, ad pushing, being an a** scripts, and of course those I won't whitelist. I get a site that works, but doesn't crawl. Meanwhile your solution leaves me with either crippled or simply blank page or it loads it all. And as said, it disables or enables it all for everything.
That's NoScript for you. It's not small and simple, but small and simple only gets you so far - sure, it works great for Unix-like systems, where the philosophy of programs - every program does one simple thing only, and it does it perfectly. But the thing is, these tools are designed to work together to solve problems that were not known when they were written. And to be combined in whatever ways one could want.
Browser addons, however, are nothing like that, and too simple often does either too little or too much, and of course without providing any fine tuning.
However, if you *really* want to be able to disable/enable all kinds of things - images, animations, css and stuff you wouldn't have thought of, I think it was an addon called Web Developer Toolbar. Not just Web Developer - and it does come with a toolbar, but I prefer not waste space by having it enabled - instead I placed it's icon to my status bar (which you need another addon to have, like Status Bar Restored), which provides all the stuff the toolbar has, but in nice menus. That addon can really disable, dude.
Not so good Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen
It doesn't have even an option to add an icon, if desired. All adjustment have to be done through the Menu Bar, which is cumbersome. Not even a context menu option.
One thing is trying to avoid unnecessary things, another is to make an add-on functionality so annoying to use that it's better to skip it altogether.
works perfect on FF 43 Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Works perfectly here, especially since Settings Sanity stopped working.
Worthless Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen
The funny part is that the developer wants you to make a $5 donation for this totally worthless add-on.
Does not work Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen
Das Addon funktioniert nicht mit Versionen 34.0. Warum auch immer, auf jeden Fall erscheinen im Menü Extras keine zusätzlichen ein-/ausschalt Optionen.
Doesn't have night mode or disable multimedia or css, Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen
Night mode, CSS blocker and media blocker are implemented in version 1.2, available here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/just-disable-stuff/versions/ . Funny story - Mozilla didn't accept it because I didn't want to make JDS widget, to avoid mess in menus/bars. But looks like I'll have to make some mess eventually - one user already complained about it. If You're looking for night mode, I extracted it into distinct addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-night-owl/

Definitely useful and easy, but indeed an icon would do better the job than just the tools menu option.
Five stars anyway.
Great add-on, but no check icons appearing in the menu in Linux Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
Was wondering if it was normal I got no check icon whenever one of the options is enabled. As of now the Just disable Images for instance appears the same whether or not it is enabled (at least here on Linux, with the latest Firefox).
Otherwise it works nicely. Thanks
please add a button Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Night mode is awesome. You have to go to this address to download the last version: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/just-disable-stuff/versions/?page=1#version-1.2
I just wish there was a keyboard shortcut or at least an icon to easily enable and disable it!
Needs update for Firefox 33+ Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen
Is it a possibility to add a button in in Firefox 33, the menu from where it should be accessed is hidden by default. The only way to access this extension is by pressing alt access it through the menu.

It seems like I can only install version 1.1 from the firefox add-on menu. I really wanted this app for the night mode, but it is nowhere to be found. Can you make sure to upload the version with night mode? You seem to be the only one who has developed a night mode add on
Version 1.2 is currently in review, but You can download it from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/just-disable-stuff/versions/?page=1#version-1.2
A few other features Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen
Was wondering if these two items could be added. Lately, more websites want to run automatic ads using these formats, and a lot of users wouldn't know how to find them in the about:config settings:
Thanks for the current version of the add-on, which is nice simple and useful.
Thank You for suggestion. I added it under "Just Disable Multimedia" in version 1.2. Beside ogg and webm, it additionally disables Flash plugin if it's present.
New feature Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Here You go! Added in 1.2.
