Press / on any Halo page to open the command palette. Jump straight to configuration areas, workflows, tickets, agents, users, mailboxes, integrations, and the self-service portal, or type a number to find the matching ticket, user, or agent. Search agents and users by name, switch between an agent and their user profile, change your language, and add your own commands with custom destinations and aliases. The /info reference lists every built-in and configured command and can be copied as Markdown or plain text.
Working across several Halo instances becomes easier and safer. A single command such as /test opens the same page on another instance and keeps your current path. Colors, page borders, tab title prefixes, and favicons clearly distinguish production, test, development, and training environments, and the instance color can be taken directly from Halo's own navigation color.
For a deeper look at your data, HaloUtils shows field API names, raw values, and element GUIDs directly beside form labels. Click any tag to copy it. Linked lookup records, including custom table lookups, open with a single click. The /json command shows the current record's API data as a searchable tree or raw text, so you can copy any value or JSON path.
Impersonate an agent or user by name or ID with /imp, and keep a clear warning banner in view until you exit. HaloUtils also protects unsaved changes in Halo's editors and dialogs, such as workflows, runbooks, ticket types, and custom fields, so a stray click or the Escape key no longer throws away your work. Resizable ticket panels, an optional wide desktop layout, and returning to the previous page after signing in round off the everyday experience.
Settings are searchable, follow your browser's light or dark theme, and can be exported and imported as a single file. Teams can share a centrally maintained instance and command configuration through a URL. HaloUtils checks it for updates, keeps your local changes, and lets you review differences before applying them. Experimental tools for recording, deploying, and rolling back configuration changes are available as an opt-in feature in the settings.
HaloUtils requests access only for the Halo instances you configure, and your settings stay in your browser. HaloUtils contacts a server outside Halo in only two cases. It fetches a shared configuration if you set up a shared configuration URL. It sends data only if you turn on synchronization with your own self-hosted sync server. HaloUtils contains no analytics or tracking.
This is an independent project.
HaloUtils is not affiliated with or endorsed by Halo. It is built to make everyday work on Halo’s platforms better.
