  • Great addon, but has a bug: When you update the addon, all your settings are erased! Please fix this!
  • None of the setting changes seem to save in Unbuntu 9.10 and FF 3.5.5. Worked great prior to update.
  • get plugin
and i like the fact that you update often
what makes me want to drop this plugin is that everytime you do update i have to go back and setup the buttons i want to use again...what a PIA!!
can we do something about that? did i miss a setting?

Since v1.7.4 it should keep your settings, like it did in the times of v1.6.*

  • This seems like a nice add-on, but i'm unable to get it to work and not sure why, not very clear.

  • Please, add the translation toolkit:

  • Great add-on. Love it!

  • installed 1.7.3 version, and i was able to save settings... on firefox (Ubuntu 9.4) missing a "save setting"

No guarda las preferencias bajo firefox Ubuntu 9.4... en windows vista funciona perfecto
  • It keeps on screwing up my system with weird responses like
"Error Onload Type Error: Box is Null"
    responses
  • Getting message "Error onload:
TypeError, document.getElementById("GIcon") is null" when a new window opens. Error disappeared once I removed Google Shortcuts
  • I now get the following error when a new window opens:
    Error onload:
    TypeError, document.getElementById("GIcon") is null

I removed Google Shortcuts and all is good now.

Only 3 stars because of the error.
  • Installed the 1.7.4 experimental version (available if you click on the "View Older Version" link below), and I was able to save settings.

Seems the Mac OS X and Linux versions were missing a "save settings" button. 1.7.4 restores it.
  • Oh no - buttons have disappeared and I can't get them back. How can I download the old version??
    Hi,

please try version 1.7.4 from either http://soerenrinne.de/googleshortcuts/googleshortcuts.xpi or https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addons/versions/3576

    Cheers,

  • Just re-installed the previous version and I got back what I wanted. Just Google search, gmail, image search and calendar.

I'll wait for the next version before I change anything.
  • Upgraded to new version. Like others, I'm unable to change the display settings or services displayed.

Although the dev has provided a solution to this solve - create a new profile and reinstall the extension - it isn't worth doing just to get this working.

Will be Reverting to the previous release.
  • upgraded from 1.7.1 to 1.7.3 and everything reset, buttons, location on toolbars, etc. And the new settings dialog will not save any new settings. I like the dropdown style but cannot get it to change to that.
Try to make a new user profile in Firefox and check again. Maybe some other extensions are blocking Google Shortcuts.

  • I love this extension! Could you add the shortcut of Google Latitude ? Please……^_^
Latitude is coming in version 1.7.4, which is currently in the sandbox.
  • I use this all the time with the dropdown option to save space but I have had to re-enter my preferences for this Google Shortcuts again with the lastest two updates to the extension. Please do not overwrite my settings with the next update.
  • Great extension. I do have one suggestion though. Could you reduce the size of the spaces between the buttons? The space on my bar is rather limited and I would like to add a few more buttons.
