Almost perfect. Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I've used The Fox Only Better and Mozilla Labs' own extension, but this stands head and shoulders above them. I only wish that I could add a delay when showing tabs (delays only work when both the tabs and the navbar are hidden).

Otherwise, bravo, and thank you.

Great, I can use it to make tabbar not go over content in fullscreen, but rather to float above it.

Bally Marvellous! Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I should have done this years ago. All I wanted was to restore the old way the F11 (Windows) fullscreen worked before a new version took it away. This does it well - with a couple of setting changes rather than the default - and it's nice to have other options. In case anyone's wondering, clicking on the fullscreen option in a youtube video automatically invokes this, so you can watch videos using the whole screen (and the transport controls auto-hide when mouse not moved, as usual). It also seems to automatically remove the annoying warning message that announced you were now in fullscreen and to hit Escape to come out. Hitting F11 instead will make the youtube page fullscreen, but not the video, which can be useful to see more around it, too. Works on TED videos too, so probably most, but I've not tried it very long yet. The taskbar is used as well - true full screen. As I only have a 10" netbook, the full use of web pages and videos is the dog's pyjamas. Many thanks to the writer, much appreciated!

Hear hear praise be indeed it works!!! :) :) Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I want to second what Ghis1964 said, YOURS is the only addon that gets the job done. I have been looking through addons such as Full Fullscreen, Hide Tabbar and they are not getting the job done on my Mac OSX with Lion plus I've been reading through mozilla forums about how helpless we all were and that mozilla have decided to "cripple" firefox by adding Spaces-Full screen compatibility.

I lie actually I found a addon that "made it work" called "old lion fullscreen" by reading through the posts users had posted on the comments for Hide Tabbar about it not working - it does do "the job" provided you don't mind losing your primary workspace in Full Screen.

If only I had found yours sooner. Well done my friend. You have saved a soul :) I needed this to write job application. Now I may have hope :) :) praise be :) :)

browser.fullscreen.autohide keep reverting to false (?!)

I need this set to "true" (about-config) and remain that way unless I say else. But it keeps reverting back. I don't see why, because it works better when it remain set to "true"
Otherwise, after a while (5mins, 60mins, or at restart), I loose the ability to select anything on the address-bar/tool-bar/short-cut-bar/etc. I still can select in tabs which tab because my about:config pref is set to *browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar* set true.
Other settings;
*defaults*
extensions.fstbh.fullscreenAutohide;true,
extensions.fstbh.maximizedAutohide;false,
extensions.fstbh.normalAutohide;false,

*user set*
extensions.fstbh.tweaks.mouse;onePixelPadding,
extensions.fstbh.style.browserBottomBox;default,
extensions.fstbh.showWhenTitleChanged;any,
extensions.fstbh.showEvents.showOnTabOpen;true,
extensions.fstbh.showEvents.showOnTabClose;true,
extensions.fstbh.bottomBuffer;1.

But this here;
extensions.fstbh.showAddonsBar;hoverOnly,
extensions.fstbh.showBookmarksBar;hoverOnly,
My issue lays there. Both disappear as soon as I hover on them, living only the title-bar (which includes the tabs as my setting set ordered to. Otherwise the tab-bar would also go away like the others)

I have look into most of my addons to see if any conflict and can't find any. The only setting I found is the pref.js of this addon. I've set it and repacked but it does not do any change behaviour.
Am I missing something?

I have had a few other apps that *try* to take care of this *fullscreenautohidething* but... but.

Yours is the ONLY one that gets the job done, appart from the fact that I have to reset every now/then to *browser.fullscreen.autohide;true* while I'm browsing (yeah---> browser.preferences.instantApply;true) lol ;)

Keep that addon alive ;)
Thank You!

***edit*** While I was writing this, I've disable an option in "The Fox, Only Better" addon. I've unchecked "enable slim chrome" (which almost completely renders this addon .... redundant!)

So, still editing....(it has been 2hrs now since edit) and it my setting has remain...?!? first time ever (?!) What can I say.... Everything's going good ;)

Great Extension But Not For Pentadactyl Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

It would be useful to allow for not hiding the add-on toolbar so that users of Pentadactyl can still have their bottom bar visible. I understand why it isn't by default since there are likely not many people effected by it. Thanks for the great extension either way.

Hi Sepand,

6.6.1 has fixed the issue I reported below. Now the Personas themes are going very well with my tabbar and hidden toolbars! Thank you so much!

Best regards,

Hi Sepand,

Toolbar Autohide add-on of yours is so useful and amazing! I almost can't use Firefox without it!

Since a certain update of Firefox or Toolbar Autohide, I have noticed that Personas themes of Firefox stopped to paint correctly on autohidden toolbars, so the toolbars is becoming transparent ever since. It's a pity that autohidden toolbars cannot have beautiful looks.

Has you been notified of this issue? (I have also sent you a mail on 2014/12/25 so maybe you could check your mail if you want to reply to me)

Cheers,
G.J.Robert

Perfect of Mac OS X Yosemite fullscreen Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I was looking for an add-on that would allow me to go completely fullscreen with Firefox in Mac OS X Yosemite and this is the thing! Thank you so much.

Helpful hint for those dealing with the transparent bar above the toolbar... Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

I've been a long-time user and promoter of this add-on, and check on its reviews every so often. I've noticed that several people have complained about the transparent bar above the toolbar, which started to appear with the onset of Australis in Fx29.

There is a way to manually fix this for every browser session:
1) Press the 'alt' button to show the menubar.
2) Drag your cursor to the top of the screen and leave it there.
3) Press the 'alt' button again to re-hide the menubar.

This should remove any transparent space above the usable toolbar, allowing the user to select tabs and buttons at the very top of the screen as one would expect.

Отличное дополнение, теперь есть больше места для самой интернет страницы! Спасибо.

Great addition, now there is more space for web site! Thank you.

Can you do, to make the site moves down when the toolbar appear? Because it is not very comfortable when website is hided under toolbar. And can you add multi row support?

Nice addon, really useful.

Would it be possible to modify the addon, so that the tabs span to the top of the screen, like they do without the addon installed?

Right now there is an area of 1px height above the tabs, which acts as the titlebar, eg. it can be used to drag the windows, it minimizes the window on double click etc. This area is not there by default in Firefox, the tabs fill the full area up to the top of the screen.

It would make it much easier and much faster to click the tabs, since this way you wouldn't have to position your cursor exactly over the tab vertically, you could just swing your mouse upwards until it hits the top of the screen and click the tab.

Thanks!

Almost, but not quite. This would be the perfect replacement for the now dead autohide I have been using for years. Unfortunately, the white transparent bar at the top is blocks too much important real estate. And this extension removes my addon bar. I like my addon bar. I need my addon bar. A non-autohiding addon bar would be better than no addon bar..

Almost perfect.... Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

In Windows, in a non-maximized window, with the Title Bar hidden (customize->Title Bar toggle), and the tab and toolbars are autohidden, there is a white transparent bar that covers the top portion of the webpage. If you reenable the title bar to always show, everything works fine.

Was Better Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

Thank you for this add-on. It did almost everything I wanted, but seems to have a few bugs. I've been using it for a couple of months. The "Transition Type" check box and related timings do not seem to have any effect and in full-screen mode the close button is black instead of red (but functions properly). In late September, moving the cursor to the top of a full-screen to un-hide the toolbars stopped working. Now with 6.6.0 it kills my theme (thin blue top gradient).
An additional request: allow for hiding the "minimize/maximize/close" buttons in a minimized widow to provide a perfectly clean window. If these items are resolved this would be a five-star add-on!
Running Win 7, Firefox 33.0
Sorry to post all this in a review but couldn't find a support link/email.

Thank you. It’s inexplicable that basic functions like this are missing from Firefox on OS X.

Works well in most cases - not with google home page Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

Hmmm. Works very well in some instances but not in others, for example the google home page I use (https://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0&hl=en), where google's own (black) menu coincides with firefox 32's "menu bar". This means you can read neither of them.
