geschrieben am vor 4 Jahrennew feature "Del Browsing Data" ... look above the "About" link when you open the main options page. it probably does not need history permissions because it does not delete history, but it does need cookie permissions. i will fix the history permission shortly.
Please consider changing your rating if this is the only reason you gave the extension 2 stars.- von Firefox-Benutzer 13448676, vor 4 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenWhy does the latest version require Cookie and History permissions?

geschrieben am vor 4 JahrenSo it can delete cookies when clicking that new button. It probably does not need history permissions; I will check that. - von Firefox-Benutzer 13495211, vor 4 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenWhat's up with the Cookie and History permission?

- von Firefox-Benutzer 13485379, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenHaving a little difficulty getting this configured properly for my use. How do I accomplish the following?:
1. Send all Traffic including DNS over configured proxy by default. ( configured the entry you cannot delete for this purpose as socks5)
2. Added 2nd Proxy as socks5 with blacklist patterns. (for sites I do not want to to through the proxy including DNS)
3. Choose option "Use Enabled by patterns"
Regardless of which proxy setting I choose, all traffic is going through the proxy server and ignoring the patterns that I've set up. Shouldn't there be an option to use a specific proxy and NOT ignore patterns?
Also, why is it that you cannot delete the default, it seems to over complicate the process of configuring this add-on. Why is there not an option to add patterns to the default setting?
Patterns I don't want going over the proxy: *.google.com, *.microsoft.com, *.xfinity.com, everything else should go through the proxy including DNS.
Thanks for your help, hopefully I'm just missing something simple. - von Gleb Chipiga, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenThere is no way to disable logging. Even in a private window.

- von wonder, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenNot sure what to say. I'll have to say, because of the new firefox forced changes on foxyproxy, it has now become unusable for me, even since the new version before FF 57 rolled out. I had to revert to the old version to make it work when I was still using FF 56 and earlier versions. Now with FF 57, there doesn't seem to be a way to revert to earlier versions, then the current foxyproxy no longer works, even though all the proxy and patterns look the same as before.
Downthemall and flashgot and a few other important add-ons also become invalid. I guess it is time for me to abandon Firefox for good finally, despite that I have been using it (and its predecessor) for the past 20 years.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 5 JahrenIf you decide to stay with FIrefox 57, you get the last version of FoxyProxy that works with it, 4.6.5, from here :

geschrieben am vor 5 JahrenHello, it will return soon as I add more features to the addon. Rewriting 10 years of code in 3 months meant some features did not make it right away. - von Firefox-Benutzer 13237825, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenAfter I imported my old FoxyProxy configuration (with whole gfw patterns), my FF57 just stuck.
When I restarted FF57, it ate up all the memory, and then it crashed.
After removing FoxyProxy, the problem disappeared. - von Firefox-Benutzer 12534937, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenIt causes serious memory issue on Firefox 57.
The normal memory usage is about 500+M, and when I turn on foxyproxy standard and swich to pattern mode , the memory usage reachs to about 2.5+G, the total memory of my computer is 8G, this is unacceptable. Please fix this issue and hope a better proxy switcher. Peace.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 5 JahrenI cannot reproduce. Maybe you could send your patterns / settings, otherwise there's no hope to fix this. Doing support in comments is not possible. Please contact us at support@getfoxyproxy.ogr with your patterns. Thank you very much. - von Dave, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenI have changed my review from a 1 to 3 (for this version, 4.5.6 gets a 5/5) after working with v5 on my dev machine. I'm not keen on the new user interface and it dropping all my old proxies/rules (really need a working import) but now I have battled the new interface I can get all my proxies working as before (I have a mix of Bluecoat SG, SOCKS 5, putty SSH tunnels and Squids)
I think the issue is that Eric felt rushed release a non-lecacy version and maybe should have released this once a working import was functional and a few more of the older functions where working ie colour change icon on proxy use, more adult looking UI, same RHC function on the icon(I use this a lot).
For now I need to keep 4.6.5 on my main workstation but will move to 5 if the older function can be brought over.
@Eric - thanks for the time and effort you must put into this addon, I know it can't be easy.
OLD Review from this morning:-
I use this addon with some very complex rules and have always loved the addon, that is until v5.0, I've had to rollback to Version 4.6.5 and block auto updating, v5.0 seems like a different addon altogether, nothing imported, nothing worked and most of the features seem to be missing.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 5 JahrenPlease revert to the old version by:
1. Uninstall the version you have now (type about:addons in the address type and remove FoxyProxy)
2. Install the one version from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxyproxy-standard/versions/ you want version 4.6.5
3. Your old settings will magically reappear
This is a temporary solution--that older version will only work until November 2017 when Firefox 57 comes out. But long before that time, the new version will have evolved with more features. Note that some features are not possible anymore due to Firefox's new addon ecosystem called WebExtensions. They are much more restricted than older addons (pre Firefox-57) - von AcidCrash, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenNice to see that extension is now FF57+ compatible.
However are there any plans on restoring some old (that are currently missing) features like:
- Auto-choose proxy (based on pattern), always proxy etc,
- button icon indication of proxy usage.
Also the toolbar menu itself is a bit unnatural-looking comparing to other ones. Could you make it more similar to the coming FF57 styling guidelines?Antwort des Entwicklers
