I like this add-on but it is locking up my browser when I choose "manage search engines". Please sort it out! (Looks like this is affecting users of Omnibar extension too).

- von Manu Mathew, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenSet browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete to false in about:config
- von yuleself, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen1. add an option that allows reverting to the default search engine every time a search request is completed;
2. improve the search engine list (that appears when the engine icon is clicked) to make it more convienient to select the desired search engine (like the new search bar style since firefox 34 browser.search.showOneOffButtons=true)
love this addon, thanks for the work! - von QT2805, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 1 von 5 SternenPerfectly merges the URL and search bar, while maintaining sufficient privacy by allowing the search suggestions only to come up when the engine's keyword is typed. Due to lack of maintenance it has however been falling apart with code syntax in the URL presentation, a browser freezing link to the old search engine management and broken switching to open tabs as of Firefox 47.
- von Firefox-Benutzer 5809321, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 1 von 5 SternenUnfortunately, I can confirm the "lock browser" behaviour when trying to manage the engines.
Apart from that, the addon general behaviour is erratic, which is a pity, since I found Foobar a great and indispensable addon for many years.
Please, please, someone fixes it =D
Until then, I think it's better to avoid it, sadly. - von mvirtue, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenGreat plug-in. Recommended. Only it stopped working when I upgraded to Firefox version 43.
- von Armanshah, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 1 von 5 SternenHey, in latest Firefoxes there is a first unnecessary line when typing something - moz-action:searchengine,{"engineName":"Google","input":......
That turn this good add-on into rubbish!
Please fix this bug. - von itsohappens, vor 5 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenI love this addon, works as it claims. But after the new FF 43 Update, I seem to be getting an extra Line when I try searching through the which goes along the lines of
moz-action:searchengine,{"engineName":"Google", "input":"keywordtosearchfor", "searchQuery":"keywordtosearchfor"}
I am sort of guessing the reason from what I see, when I open Firefox without Foobar, It shows another extra line when I search with a keyword, This line used to not be there earlier, and I think that line is causing trouble.
This happens when the Suggestion PopupStyle is Simple. But when it is set to Rich. The Display works like the new FF 43, but when I tried to use the search with a keyword and selected a Suggestion it directly went to my default Search Engine with the following line:
moz-action:searchengine,{"engineName":"Google%20encrypted","input":" .....}
Might Want to fix those issues, which I am guessing is related to the new display of Search Engines in the default firefox. - von Bouncy, vor 6 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenDon't get me wrong, I loved having Foobar on my Firefox. That is, until my family (who can't read English) made me switch my FF into a Simplified Chinese localized version. To my horror, Foobar is machine translated... like many unmaintained cheap smartphone apps. Now I won't be able to change the options without switching FF back to the English locale... I know it's out of good intentions but is it possible to not have this localization at all? It's creating more confusion than helping. Or at least provide a way to manually switch between languages.

一度に沢山のサイトで同時に検索出来るのが素晴らしい - von Firefox-Benutzer 11122346, vor 6 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenI've read on gHacks that "a team of Mozilla engineers is working on a prototype currently that combines the browser's address bar and search bar natively", so I decided to get in the mood with Foobar. I believe I'll be sticking on it, the one bar scheme and the dedicated Foobar. It runs flawlessly here even if I have 2 suggestions.
1- If I'm on a Web site and I perform a search the site's url in the urlbar is removed since the same bar performs all. At this time I have no way of knowing where I am (the site's url) other than reloading the page. If I clear the urlbar's content I recover the 'Go to address or search using [Default search engine]' : it would be nice if Foobar could fit in there and replace the 'Go to...' with the site's address.
2- Foobar's 'Max number of URL suggestions' is limited to 10. The setting in about:config is extensions.foobar.urlsuggestnum and I've tried pushing it up from there to 99. The result is that Foobar's option window still states 10 but in practice the limit has been raised to 15. My wish : set the max to more than 10, more than 15 : with many bookmarks there may be quite often many more than 10/15 results available.
Besides this Foobar is well thought, well built. I appreciate the search engines' keywords added to the engine's list, very useful. - von ZzzZombi, vor 6 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenI have problem. Sometimes when I write queries, suggestion list shows up for 1 second and disappears leaving behind only a 1-2px height white line going across the search/address bar. Sometimes it comes back after I write (or delete) another letter. It's random but it happens quite often. Anything I can do about it? Thank you.
- von happysurf, vor 6 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenGood work but with Firefox 37beta the drop down list of most visited web sites doesn't appear.
Please fix and then is perfect.
Thanks. - von pdun459, vor 6 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenFF36, Foobar 2.1.1. I tried recreating a bookmark with keyword as suggested here, http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2908241&p=14041535. I also always use a space after keywords as suggested in the thread, but neither worked. 2.0.1 still works on FF36 so I'm using it. Bookmark keywords are working with it.
- von FairyJeans, vor 6 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenIndeed, was working nicely on FF 35.
Still runs on FF 36 but completion is no more working (aka no drop down list with relevant choices)
