Please remove this AddOn from AMO !
I love this plugin, but at the moment it's been hijacked with adware.
If you have this installed, remove it immediately. If you want to use this plugin, you have to dig through the version history and get the latest uncontaminated version: 1.4.7. Disable automatic updates and enjoy FabTabs without the BS.
I didn't know where that Wizeshoppy come from....
DON'T EVER INSTALL THIS.
This add on has been hijacked and needs to be disabled otherwise your internet experience will be not your own anymore ,the culprit is the developer letting WIZESHOPPY be a part of the add on this is downright rude, and it took me ages to work out what it was and how to get rid of it I use firefox so I do not have to put up with this sort of crap and it still finds a way to ruin your day
This was one of my favorite add-ons and FireFox wasn't complete until this was installed.
However, over the last few days I kept noticing WizeShoppy appearing on Amazon and popups on other sites. This wasn't mentioned in the version info, nor on any part of the addon. This is a deceptive practice and has such changed my decision to utilize this once wonderful addon.
Certainly the developer has choices of what to bundle, perhaps even making some decent money. The way it was introduced is shady and again, deceptive. Who knows what else I've allowed into my system...
Until Wizeshoppy got added. Don't bother with the March release until it gets removed. I think you can still use older versions that don't have this junk secretly added.
How did "WizeShoppy" get attached to your extension and my browser?I liked your tabs extension until I realized that your advertising search engine got attached to my browser. Not cool. I didn't ask for that. I will be disabling it.
Nice AddOn and I loved it. Alas I'm disappointed now from the uncalled and unannounced introduction of WizeShoppy as a "General Option".There it sits, undetected and enabled by default (it should be opt-in, not opt-out).Four Versions since the new developer took over but no versionhistory? It seems, this addon is only used to foist some unwanted ad-on...
Thank you for picking up development of this from Captain Caveman. I've been using it since before it was released on AMO and I think it's a fantastic piece of work. I hope you can add your own flair to it and make it even better.
please add any option for color toolbars above tab
please please please
If you could add an option for unify the tab color with the toolbars color, there is already an option for color the toolbars, but they are full-colored... we need color them like the tabs (e.g. saturation).
I love it.
I only have one feature request: Make the cumulating algorithm more optional to the user. Or find one single perfect never-failing algorithm. :-)
> the cumulating algorithm...?!?
That was probably not the most adequate term but I mean the function which is applied on the little screenshot to come up with a single color value. Looking at a site like this
I guess, that an average / artihmetic mean is used to determine the color. And that site is good to demonstrate how fabtabs can produce a weird result.
There is plenty of white and a very tiny bit of a very intense red. As a result, my Firefoxy Browsiness gets a lovely faint pink which is probably due to averaging of the colors.
If there would be an option to simply chose the most abundant color or the median of the colors, one could try which method makes oneself the most happy.
The only reason I can't give this add-on 5 stars is because it doesn't color the add-on bar at the bottom, which is a true shame really. It doesn't color the side windows such as "bookmarks" or "history" either. That breaks the impression of unity of the window and tingles my OCD pretty bad. It's been around for about a year and I would have thought this issue could have been resolved since then. Aside from that, it works/looks great.
Poor. Colours tabs to the site's background colour, usually white or grey, not the predominant or logo colour. When several tabs are open, there's no correlation between the tab and the page. Very disappointing: 'Colorful Tabs' works much better.
This add-on doesn't work with Stylish, when the tabs are transparent.
I can't believe I haven't been using this add-on before! It makes Firefox look great and keeps tabs readable. I love how it even colors my toolbars!
This is a great add-on, the colors are good and it works very well with the Side Tabs add-on. Thanks!
Adds a colorful touch to the browser...and the colors change with each site loaded.
great idea, looks really cool!
but imo it would be better to have the active tab colored BEFORE i leave it.
