- von B0BBYB0Y, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenHi MoiVous and thanks for the tip.
The tip makes a lot of sense when you read it, and it's a handy thing to know, but I could not get it to work for EXIF Viewer.
Anyone else tried? [I'm running FF3.5 on Win7, tho don't see what difference that would make.] - von MoiVous, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenA great add-on that I use a lot, as do many digital photographers.
But with FF3.5 it stopped working - not really - there is a fix which seems to work in FF3.5 which has been previously posted in the Sage fix and in http://yuenhoe.co.cc/blog/2009/07/hacking-your-extensionsadd-ons-for-firefox-35-compatibility/
It works for me, so if you want your EXIF viewer back fast, try it! - von OhWeh, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenPlease make it work at FF 3.5 It is one of my often used add on.-
- von CypherOz, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenWorks ok in Firefox 3.5 with Nightly Tester Tool (override version)
- von Mister.Mo, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenPlease update the add-on for Firefox 3.5 :-)
- von raggedsweater , vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenPerhaps it's not fair to rate this plug-in if it hasn't been updated for FF3. However, I'm just adding that the plugin works generally. However, FireFox 3 does not want to be told to save an image once you've looked at the EXIF data. The download stalls. If I save the image before viewing the EXIF, then no issue. Once I view the EXIF, I cannot save the image and reloading the page does not help.
- von orionmystery, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 1 von 5 SternenIt's nice but very buggy....after viewing like 5 to 10 exifs, my FF will stop working...freeze...i had to restart my FF..
- von johnbray, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenA useful tool, but it would be very useful for the options to have a set of tags that could be selected and remembered between invocations, as currently the information I want is widely scattered, and the options to switch off the different sections are forgotten between usages
- von Allan Johnstone, vor 12 JahrenBewertet mit 2 von 5 SternenAlthough I like the detailed EXIF information that is presented, in FF3 I cannot reload the graphic after I have viewed the EXIF info unless I restart the browser.

- von imqqmi, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenIt's works well. Just a suggestion, I'd like to see the formatting changed to something more easily readable. Please align the exif info property and result in two columns for better readability. I view maybe dozens or hundreds exif images per day. Please remove the 1/shutterspeed and 1003434/1 it doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe on the first few lines in large type without property names, just values like LightRoom does for example:
Canon 40D
1/200ss f/2.8 iso 400
canon EF 85mm f/1.8
Flash fired
Av exposure mode
That's all I need to know most of the time, then the full list of exif info if needed. Thanks! - von Timothy Payton, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenI love this plugin and hope to see it made available for Firefox 3.
- von mbree, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 SternenI really like the idea of this, but it hangs the display of another image after the first use of Exif Viewer. I have seen this on multiple sites, so it has something to do with the add on and can reproduced at will on FF 2.x
- von Steve Skinner, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 1 von 5 SternenI loved the idea of this extension, but it did not work at all, not even on my own images which I know have exif data, which I can verify from viewing it from Flickr.
- von JustAnotherGeek, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenHi, I briefly see a lot of text in red beginning the word " Warning " , then this goes off before other data becomes available, what does the warning say please, its only on for a split second. Many Thanks Si.

geschrieben am vor 13 JahrenIf you start up the extension via Tools > Exif Viewer, you will see:
WARNING!!! This extension directly accesses information on your hard drive. If this is a problem for you, you can either view the source to confirm that it is just reading the Exif data contained in the selected image, or you can uninstall the extension.\r\n\r\nNote: Not all JPEG images contain Exif data. In particular, many image editing/manipulation software don’t preserve this data, even for minor changes to the image. This may explain why Exif Viewer reports “Unable to extract all the Exif data” for many local and remote files. In some cases, you may be able to set a “Preserve Exif Data” configuration setting/option in your software.\r\n\r\nNote: Personal or corporate firewall settings may prevent the Exif Viewer from accessing remote URLs, resulting in the extension appearing to be frozen. Please ensure that Firefox has been given permission to access the internet before attempting to view the Exif data for a remote JPEG. - von Larry Carlin, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenit crashes and burns if the Exif data is not available and you hit the Display ExifData button. Unfortunately it then hangs up ALL your open Firefox windows.
- von iLoveFirefox, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 4 von 5 SternenThis extension was exactly what i was looking for, but unfortunately causes this weird bug where I will have to refresh a page a few times before the page will actually load (so far, this has only happened on one site, but its one of my favorites, so it is a deal-breaker)
- von Nicolaiev, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenExcellent add-on. URL feature and recent Thumbnail feature (v1.30) are very interesting (together): http://tinyurl.com/2wlp9x and http://tinyurl.com/2ztmf3
- von Firefox-Benutzer 32657, vor 13 JahrenBewertet mit 5 von 5 SternenReally great. Instead of having to download an image to view exif, it's easy to do it via the browser.
Don't forget to update this for Firefox 3 please.
