Awful and crappy Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen

The Firefox add-on is a poor knock-off of the Chrome add-on which WORKS and offers features lacking in the Firefox version.
Sorry, but this is a piece of sh**!

The latest v6 beta hosted at Evernote (go to the Web Clipper forum there) works much better than the old version that AMO has approved (sort of) for hosting here, at least on Fx35 (haven't tried it with older Fx releases). Of course, just because it fixed the problem(s) I was having with the previous beta doesn't mean it'll fix yours. I'd give it 5 stars if they'd implement annotation for Firefox (which they have in other browsers). I'm told that once v6 is out of beta that the feature set will be fairly uniform across all browsers (barring some function(s) not supported by a browser).

The version 6(beta) cannot update itself. User should visit the below link to see the newest update. Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

Сервис хороший, но дополнение для Firefox поддерживают очень плохо, а в последнее время вообще не поддерживают его. И ситуация никак не меняется уже очень давно.
PS. Разработчики, за вашу Хромофилию гореть вам...

Version 6 is here but a memory hog Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen

Version 6 is available but it is a memory hog. Just installing it doubles FF memory usage and slows everything down.

Not recommended.

Try to update manully Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Everyone can go to bottom of the page to find version information, there have Ver6.0,its interface as same as chrome's and have great improvement, you can try to install it.

But I don't understand why Evernote official not update to this version automatically. That's not smart.

Updated to Version 6 Screenshot Function doesn't work. Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternen

I updated to Version 6. My guess as to why Mozilla hasn't cleared it yet is because the screenshot function doesn't work. Just gives blank screenshots; the only thing you see is any annotations you tried to make to the blank screen. Other than that, seems to function like the Chrome version

This is a joke compared to the clipper in Chrome and Opera.

Why is the Firefox clipper so far behind the versions for other browsers?

evernote web clipper 6 is available now, go to 'Version Information' -> 'see complete version history' and get version 6. Don't know why it has not passed review after 2 months.

Not as good as the Chrome version Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

On Chrome, I love this extension. It's not the same in Firefox. It works, but it's a little "quirky." For example, when adding tags, if you hit "enter" after adding a tag, it closes without clipping anything. You have to use tab instead, but then it jumps to the next text box.

If they could just make it function the same as it does in Chrome, it would be great.

Basically, the clipper has some functionality, but compared to the Chrome and Safari extension, it's woefully inadequate. In fact, it's pretty lousy. If you are an extensive Evernote user, don't use Firefox because the results are very hit and miss. Those saying that it "works every time" are just using it's minor features have no idea what the REAL clipper should do.

No functionality at all Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen

As reported below in places, the context menu does nothing whatsoever. As I use Firefox exclusively, Evernote has become in this regard useless.

Cant Install Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen

Even if it doesn't have the same functionality as Chrome, I'd still like to give it a shot. However, after install and restart, the extension still does not appear to have been installed.

Not Good Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen

Evernote Web Clipper for Firefox is screwed up - and has been for some time. If you clip web pages to Evernote, I'd recommend using the Web Clipper for Chrome, which has a completely different user interface and works well.

I can only confirm what @wallen11 said. Me too - and as a Premium user - I have to open up Chrome to get a proper web clipping because this extension is so poor. What is going on Evernote? FF ist still the second most used browser worldwide.

Ok. It turns out, that Evernote has been working on a new version for quite some time (See https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/60185-web-clipper-6-for-firefox-beta/) which is very similar to the chrome version.

You can download it here:

Not the same functionality as the Chrome version Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen

Why doesn't the Firefox add-on have the same functionality as the Chrome version? The Chrome version is cleaner-looking and also has an option to remove the "clutter," but in Firefox you have to download a separate add-on called Clearly to do that. It doesn't make any sense to me. Aren't they designed by the same people? Firefox is my default browser, but when it comes to clipping to Evernote, I'll usually take the extra step to open a link in Chrome. Sad.
