I really dug this little add-on. Does its one thing very well, without bloat. Simple, lightweight, and effficient - everything you want from an add-on.

I've now switched to Linux though and unfortunately this doesn't work with FireFox' Linux GUI. I'll miss you ColorizedButton! I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Don't work!

Report bugs via eMail, please. "Don't work!" does not help me to find and solve issues. What did you do, what happened, what did you expect (so-called STR, Steps To Reproduce)? Also, include the FF version you're using.

I like this add-on, but to be honest, the "preferences" button always disappearing is starting to be a bit annoying.

Works fine :) Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Works fine for me on FF 8.0.1
Sometimes the options menu is not visible but as "rsjtdrjgfuzkfg" said you just have to deactivate and activate the addon to make it visible. I like especially the possibility of making the Firefox button transparent though I think that some users may not know how to define a color. Some kind of a color picker would be nice ;)

Me gustaría ponerle color a muchas otras cosas también.. ;P

Why bother about the color of the orange firefox button? Since I don't use themes or personas, this little tweak is just what I need to break up the monotony while using the browser for hours at a time.

Does what it says. Would consider using it if colors could be chosen with a colorpicker. Having to questimate the colors by inputting RGB values definitely does not make me feel warm and fuzzy.

UPDATED:
As the developer pointed out in response:

"You might consider using a online tool like http://www.colorpicker.com/ to calculate RGB values if you are uncomfortable with them. The XUL color picker (the colorpicker I as AddOn developer can use) won't give you the ability to choose any color, it uses pre-defined colors only. So I decided not to use a XUL color picker, and a RGB input instead. In general most users won't change the color often."

Now, after explaining that not using the XUL colorpicker was a deliberate choice I will up to 4 stars.
Actually I also tried the "App Color Button" addon which apparently uses the XUL colorpicker as described by rsjtdrjgfuzkfg but I preferred "ColorizedButton" because of the transparency. Having the XUL colorpicker *and* the option to input the RGB values would make this a 5 stars. Ofcourse I haven´t the remotest idea if both methods are mutually exclusive. Maybe a good idea to "update" the XUL colorpicker with this functionality?

I also agree with the author that most users don´t change colors often, but I think an integrated colorpicker is what they would expect to use.

UPDATED, too: ;)
The methods aren't exclusive, I'll try to include a XUL color picker as well in one of the next releases, although I'm not sure if there is a nice way that won't confuse the user (and won't take too much space, so it is still useable on small screens).
I haven't seen "App Color Button" while coding this (most likely it wasn't reviewed then), and yes, it uses XUL color picker.
