Über diese Erweiterung
You've visited thousands of websites. What do you have to show for it?
Cheevos turns your daily browsing into a global competition. Every page you visit, file you download, and bookmark you save earns XP and unlocks achievements, building a rank that reflects how you actually use the internet.
Cheevos players have opened over 20,000 tabs and scrolled a combined 19 miles through the web. Every session adds to that.
Earn XP for what you already do
Every website visit, download, and bookmark counts. Watch your rank climb from Iron to Platinum as your real browsing habits are rewarded.
Unlock 100+ achievements across 10 categories
Navigation, Productivity, Time, Media, and more. Some achievements are obvious. Others are hidden: discover secret browser pages, rare milestones, and easter eggs most users never find.
Compete on global leaderboards
See where you rank against players worldwide. Live high scores update in real-time. Can you reach Diamond tier?
Browse with friends
Form a Party of up to 10 players, earn group XP, and compete in team challenges. Your squad's combined browsing builds a shared rank.
Works across Firefox and Chrome
Your XP, rank, and achievements sync across both browsers. Switch devices without losing your progress.
Privacy by Design — not just a tagline
All achievement logic runs entirely inside your browser. We never see your URLs, your history, or what you're reading. The only things that ever reach our servers are your XP total, your level, and your unlocked badge IDs — the minimum needed to power the leaderboard. Your raw browsing data stays on your machine, always.
You can delete your account and all synced data at any time from your dashboard.
Stop boring browsing. Install Cheevos and start playing the web.
Permissions — why we need them
We only request permissions that directly enable a specific feature. Here's exactly what each one does:
Browsing history and website activity
Required to detect achievement-triggering destinations — things like reaching a Wikipedia article, finding a hidden browser page, or completing a navigation milestone. We never store or sync your URLs. Instead, the extension creates a truncated one-way SHA-256 hash of each domain locally on your machine. The raw address is discarded immediately.
Bookmarks
Required for achievements tied to your curation habits — how many bookmarks you've saved, how long you've kept them, and how you organize them. Your folder names and URLs never leave your device.
Downloads
Required for achievements like Data Hoarder and Big Catch, which track cumulative download sizes and file counts. Filenames and URLs are processed locally and never synced.
Notifications
Used to announce achievement unlocks and major XP milestones in real-time. You can disable these in your browser's notification settings at any time.
That's it. No ad tracking, no behavioral profiling, no third-party data sharing. Just a game built on top of your existing browsing habits.
