Über diese Erweiterung
Brightery CipherKit is a local developer data utility for cryptography, password hashing, JSON inspection, encoding and secure random generation.
Use it when you need to transform or inspect developer data without pasting sensitive values into an online website.
Core capabilities:
• AES-GCM authenticated encryption and decryption
• RSA-OAEP key generation, encryption and decryption
• SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 hashes
• MD5 and SHA-1 for clearly marked legacy compatibility work
• HMAC and PBKDF2 key derivation
• PHP-compatible bcrypt password hashes and verification
• Base64, Base64URL, Hex and URL encoding/decoding
• JSON validation, prettify and minify
• Expandable JSON tree with clickable properties
• JSON access-path generation for JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, C#, Java, Go, JSONPath and JSON Pointer
• JSON encode/decode code snippets for several programming languages
• Secure keys, tokens, UUID v4 and OpenSSL-style random presets
Privacy by design:
CipherKit has no account system, analytics, advertising, telemetry, remote API, content scripts or host access. The extension requests no extension permissions and no host permissions. Text, JSON, keys, passphrases, hashes and generated secrets remain in the extension page and are not transmitted by CipherKit.
The extension uses browser cryptography APIs where available and includes its required local code in the submitted package. No remotely hosted executable code is used.
MD5 and SHA-1 are included only for interoperability with legacy systems and are labeled accordingly. They are not presented as recommended choices for new security-sensitive designs.
CipherKit is built for developers who want a fast, focused and private utility directly in the browser.
