BrickLink Classic Helper Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
BrickLink Classic Helper is an independent, unofficial browser extension that provides a classic-style interface for adding and reviewing inventory items on BrickLink. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by BrickLink or the LEGO Group.
Information the extension handles
To provide its features, the extension may handle the following information while the user is on supported BrickLink inventory pages:
- The active BrickLink page URL, including item identifiers and related page parameters.
- BrickLink page and catalog content, including item, category, colour, image, price-guide, packing, and inventory information.
- Inventory form information entered or selected by the user.
- A reserved-buyer username and related BrickLink profile details when the user chooses to use that feature.
- A custom image selected by the user when the user chooses to upload an image to BrickLink.
- The extension’s enabled or disabled setting.
How information is used
This information is used only to provide the extension’s user-facing BrickLink inventory workflow, including populating the classic interface, preserving temporary workflow state, retrieving current BrickLink catalog information, validating user-entered details, displaying review information, and performing actions requested by the user.
Storage
The enabled or disabled preference is stored locally using the browser’s extension storage. Temporary form state, catalog caches, colour information, and workflow context may also be stored locally in the browser using BrickLink page storage, such as localStorage and sessionStorage.
The developer does not operate a server that receives this locally stored information.
Data transmission and sharing
The extension communicates only with BrickLink domains required for its features. Information may be sent directly to BrickLink over HTTPS when needed to retrieve catalog information or perform an action requested by the user, including inventory submissions, reserved-buyer checks, and optional custom-image uploads.
The extension does not sell user data. It does not send user data to the developer, advertisers, analytics providers, or unrelated third parties.
Analytics and advertising
The extension does not include analytics, advertising, behavioural tracking, or profiling.
Remote code
All executable JavaScript used by the extension is included in the extension package. The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly.
Data retention and deletion
Locally stored information remains in the user’s browser until it is cleared by the extension’s workflow, the user clears website or extension data, or the extension is removed. Information sent to BrickLink is handled according to BrickLink’s own terms and privacy practices.
User choices
Users can disable the extension from its toolbar popup, remove the extension through their browser’s add-on or extension settings, or clear BrickLink website data and extension storage through their browser settings.
Limited use
The extension’s use of information is limited to providing and improving its clearly described user-facing functionality. Information is not used or transferred for unrelated purposes, advertising, creditworthiness, or lending.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the extension’s features or data practices change. The latest version will be made available through the extension’s official public listing or support information.
Contact
Questions about this privacy policy can be sent through the developer contact or support information shown on the extension’s public listing.
