Birdview is a local-first browser extension. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

All content you create — tasks, projects, jobs, contacts, notes, screenshots, calendar events, links, and settings — is stored locally on your device using the browser's storage APIs (storage.local and IndexedDB for images). It never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.

Birdview has no first-party backend and performs no analytics or telemetry. The only optional outbound requests are public YouTube thumbnail images (from img.youtube.com) when you save a video link; these contain no personal information.

Permissions are used solely for local functionality: storage/unlimitedStorage (save your data on-device), alarms + notifications (local reminders), tabs (capture the visible tab on request and open the dashboard), and contextMenus (right-click quick-save).

You can export or delete all of your data at any time from within the extension.
