BentoHome does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no analytics, no accounts, and no servers.

Stored locally: your links, categories, settings, and background image are stored in your browser on your device only (localStorage and IndexedDB). They are removed when you uninstall the extension.

Third-party requests from optional features:
- Site icons are fetched from Google's favicon service, which receives the domain name of each link on your page. Turn off "Show site icons" in settings to stop this.
- Fonts other than the system default are loaded from Google Fonts. Keep "System (default)" to stop this.
- Search sends your query to the search engine you choose, just as typing it on that site would.
