    Version 3.0.0

    Veröffentlicht 1. Sep. 2026 – 191,29 KB
Funktioniert mit firefox 140.0 und höher
    New Features
    - Added Smart Pacing with Subtle, Balanced, and Strong adjustment modes while keeping the configured reading speed as the baseline.
    - Added local Ruleset controls for choosing where Active Reader is allowed or blocked.
    - Added a redesigned Experimental catalogue with clear availability, acknowledgement, recovery, and privacy controls.
    - Added GoBack, GoLater, and GoBack Manager as Developer Only experiments for testing local saved-location workflows.
    - Added this local Changelog and a version-bound What's New indicator in Settings.

    Improvements
    - Improved True Isolation performance and responsiveness for selections up to the supported 100,000-segment limit.
    - Refined Experimental Settings with consistent feature cards, developer gating, warning suppression, and reset controls.
    - Improved preference updates, page-lifecycle handling, and reading progress across navigation and single-page websites.
    - Improved popup layout so the Synodic Hub link remains geometrically centred at narrow and standard widths.

    Security
    - Strengthened Reader isolation, session ownership, and local state validation.
    - Strengthened supporter and developer entitlement verification with signed, revocable access states.
    - Reduced the public backend surface used by current Active Reader clients.
    - Hardened URL handling, stored navigation data, and extension message boundaries.

    Fixes
    - Fixed deterministic cleanup for closed, expired, and rapidly reopened True Isolation windows.
    - Fixed free developer entitlements so developer access does not unlock paid cosmetic capabilities.
    - Fixed large-selection transport and rendering bottlenecks while preserving exact progress and selection behavior.

  • Version 1.5.0

    Veröffentlicht 6. Aug. 2026 – 71,47 KB
Funktioniert mit firefox 140.0 und höher
TTS beta-lock - HUD speaker button greys out with a lock icon, Advanced page's read-aloud controls are disabled with a "Beta, coming soon" badge, and pressing M (or clicking it) shows a small toast instead of doing nothing. Locked at three points in the code (the toggle, the session-start seed, and speakSegment itself) specifically so a preference someone saved before this existed can't sneak through.

Multi-page Settings - Settings, Keybinds, Themes, and Advanced, each their own page, sharing common logic through a new shared.js instead of duplicating it four times. This is the foundation for everything else in feature-list.txt that's coming to Keybinds and Themes specifically.

Three new supporter presets - OLED Black, Cyberpunk, Vintage Sepia join Aurora and Rose Gold at the any-supporter tier.

Two new opt-in/opt-out toggles on Advanced: show/hide the floating HUD, and auto-scroll on/off.

Pacing quick-presets - Slow/Normal/Fast buttons above the WPM slider.

  • Version 1.4.0

    Veröffentlicht 5. Aug. 2026 – 61,38 KB
Funktioniert mit firefox 140.0 und höher
Custom colors gated to supporters - the free color pickers now lock the same way the Aurora/Rose Gold presets already did, with the inputs visually dimmed and disabled when there's no active code.

Tiered supporter system - any supporter (one-time or subscriber) unlocks Aurora, Rose Gold, and custom colors. A new Nebula preset plus a pulsing HUD glow are exclusive to subscriber status specifically. The popup badge and toolbar icon now show a distinct double-heart mark for subscribers vs the single heart for one-time supporters, and both fall back gracefully to free defaults if a subscription lapses.

Exact Selection mode - new Selection Scope control in the popup and Settings: "Expand to paragraph" (unchanged default) or "Exact selection only," which uses just what you highlighted. This is functional, not cosmetic, so it's free for everyone, in keeping with the same principle the whole Supporter Program was built on. Needed a real architectural change: sessions now build from either a container element or a range-clipped walk that trims the two boundary nodes to exact offsets, and I refactored the shared session-start logic so both paths (native and Isolated Reader View) go through one core function.
