Über diese Erweiterung
URL Surgeon uses the Declarative Net Request API, so your request is modified before it even leaves your browser. This guarantees instant redirects without the page reloading or flickering.
How to use URL Surgeon:
Enter a domain (e.g. localhost), the "From" (e.g. mobile) and "To" (e.g. desktop) parameters, and observe how localhost/mobile/page-1?query-parameter=value turns into localhost/desktop/page-1?query-parameter=value. Strings are preserved by default, but can be removed by unticking the "Preserve string after match" box.
Persistent Workflow:
Configure your environment mappings once and rely on them daily. Your rules are saved automatically to local storage, making it effortless to switch between development environments or strip unwanted path segments every time you open your browser.
Privacy by Design:
All URL processing happens locally on your machine. Because URL Surgeon relies on native browser APIs rather than remote servers, your browsing data never leaves your device.
One thing to note:
As of version 1.0.0, URL Surgeon currently doesn't have the ability to modify URLs where a web app is doing client-side navigation (Vue-Router, Nuxt SPA, etc.) since the "browsing" doesn't touch the browser's network stack. You will need to refresh pages that use client-side navigation
