I hoped that not only the cookie warnings would not be shown, but especially that these will not be accepted. That should be the pointSvar fra udvikleren
skrevet 4 år sidenWhen it's needed for the website to work properly, the extension will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do). In other cases cookie warnings are not accepted. - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Chillosophy, 4 år sidenWorks fine but injects random text into the html tag and doesn't explain why. Not suggesting this is malware, probably for some type of cookiewall, but I would like to see this explained somewhere and not have my DOM messed with.
-edit- Can't reply as far as I know. It definitely is this extension. Check common.js and common8.js.Svar fra udvikleren
skrevet 4 år sidenAre you sure you're not talking about some other extension? "I don't care about cookies" doesn't do anything like that. - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Schmurtz, 4 år sidenThe EU regulation which many people criticize in these comments are a true progress in your own liberty and rights. I agree to said that the implementation is really bad on most of websites and there is something to do. But take the time to read carefully what is RGPD and what is changing with this regulation and you will see that it has been made for you, to protect you.
For the author, you really should precise what does it mean "I don't care about cookies" , does it mean that it click by default on "accept all" or "reject all". I think that it matter for all the users of this extension that probably (for some of them) take care to their privacy...Svar fra udvikleren
skrevet 4 år sidenThanks for the review, Schmurtz!
Generally, I agree with you, users should know what the GDPR is all about. From i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu: "Please educate yourself about cookie related privacy issues and ways to protect yourself and your data..."
While privacy is important and the law is probably here because of us, somehow the implementation of that law is going terribly wrong. Nobody will ever find the time to read all the policies on a daily basis before accepting the policy of every visited website, especially users of this extension who mostly delete all privacy data automatically when closing the browser and are faced with the same policy acceptance pop-ups every day. It's just too much. So instead of user blindly accepting and moving on, here is the extension that does so.
I will add an explanation so the users know how the extension gets rid of warnings (in most cases it just hides and blocks them; it automatically accepts cookie palicies only when it's needed for the website to function properly). Thanks for the suggestion :) Svar fra udvikleren
skrevet 4 år sidenYou should rate Firefox for Android then, not my extension :) Firefox team decides for some reason which extensions can be available there. Please join the conversation, maybe they'll add it if users demand it: https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/when-will-my-extensions-become-available-on-firefox-for-android/66013- Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Firefox-bruger 12243566, 4 år siden

Adding hotcopper.com.au to exclusions list does not solve the problem.
Will need to disable this extension until the problem is resolved, thanks.Svar fra udvikleren

I know I can add exception, but finding which FF plugin is involved is a pain.Svar fra udvikleren
skrevet 5 år sidenIt's the same with any blocker which tries to do whatever it can to do its job. I don't see a problem on these websites (they were never reported the proper way). Please contact me by email (author@i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu) or via the Report link in the extension's menu and provide some more info, I'll be happy to fix it! - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af #98374, 5 år sidenIt works pretty good, but requests too big permissions like access to logins and passwords among many other. Can not find the link to open source platform like Github.
- Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Firefox-bruger 14285360, 6 år sidenWould be perfect if there was a way of hiding it from my context menu. Can it be done?

- Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af sBRB4Q7, 6 år sidenUPDATE: I'm downgrading my review to three (3) stars due to recent change of ownership. I like this extension, not avast. I also did not realize there's no source anywhere despite being "open source" per Mozilla AMO. Where's the github link? Now with the change of ownership I ask the developer to release the source code on GitHub, Gitlab or wherever so everyone can work on this. Please?
OLD REVIEW:
These cookie prompts are now more annoying than ever. Because of the GDPR you now have to go through a stupid settings page, it is no longer just a "this website uses cookies" prompt usually at the bottom of a page. Now you get it in your face every time you clear your cookies!
Thanks for making the web in the EU less annoying! - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Firefox-bruger 12994681, 6 år sidenI love that it deletes cookies that I want deleted, but I HATE the constant notices at the bottom telling me how many cookies it deleted EVERY SINGLE TIME I CLOSE A TAB... Very annoying.
- Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Patclash, 7 år sidenWork fine with Firefox 57.0 on Windows and Ubuntu Desktop , but don't work on with Firefox 57.0 on Android 7.1.2
- Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Firefox-bruger 13372069, 7 år sidenIn the past (before the last W10 fall edition) it works very well. Now it didn't work anymore. :(

skrevet 7 år sidenyour browser version may be too old, please try to update it. if the addon doesn't work after that, contact me by email (author@i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu) - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af maxoku, 7 år sidenDoes it really need to refresh all tabs after update? After new update I encounter new problems with the context menu. It shows a communicate like the extension can't work properly on this domain. Later it starting to work allowing to enable/disable the extension on this domain. But if go to other tab (with different domain) it shows only do enable/disable for the domain of the previous tab, not current one. It wasn't this way after first update to web extension cuz I needed to disable on all domains I frequently use. And could you add the whitelist to the extension settings already please?
Svar fra udvikleren
skrevet 7 år sidenWhitelisting is still on the TO DO list, it will be added but it doesn't have a high priority. You are the only one who requested it :)
I cannot reproduce the tab/enable/disable problem, and I have really tested it through. The moment you switch to a different tab, the context menu updates.
About refreshing all tabs after update... you are totally right. This will be changed in the next version. Thanks for the hint! - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Firefox-bruger 11233046, 7 år sidenYour add on is a marvelous relief for my nerves, but doesn't work well in some sites and breaks some pages that have forms; this, one, for example, in:
http://www.goteo.org/contact
the "Mensaje" (Message) field disappears, but works well if I just disable I don't care about cookies. It doesn't happen in all the pages with forms, the majority don't experience any issue, but it does in many. The bug is present too in the version for Firefox Android. - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af jonjay32, 7 år sidenStopped working after 2.6.8 update.
Reverted to 2.6.7, working again.
Have switched off automatic update as default, and will keep checking here for comments saying issue is fixed - Bedømt til 3 ud af 5af Firefox-bruger 13290952, 7 år sidenStopped working after update to 2.6.8. After re-installing 2.6.7 all is fine again.
Replay @ Kiko: FF 48.0.2 on OS XSvar fra udvikleren
skrevet 7 år sidenThis addon has switched to new WebExtensions technology which is not compatible with older Firefox versions. You'll have to update Firefox eventually and 2.6.8 (and newer versions) will then work again.
