Trochu detailněji...

I'm a former NYU PostDoc still maintaining/developing the TrackMeNot extension in collaboration with Professor Helen Nissenbaum. I'm currently working at Bell-Labs France (Alcatel-Lucent) as a research engineer. I've work on a couple of browser extensions, TrackMeNot is obviously the most important one but previous to that I also worked on SquiggleSR a TrackMeNot-like extension. More recently I prototyped Adnostic.

Doplňky, které jsem vytvořil

TrackMeNot Kompatibilní s Firefoxem 57+

An artware browser add-on to protect privacy in web-search. By issuing randomized queries to common search-engines, TrackMeNot obfuscates your search profile and registers your discontent with surreptitious tracking.

SquiggleSR Vyžaduje restart

Deceive search engines to protect user privacy. Queries are generated using personalized keywords and clicks are randomly simulated on non-sponsored results.

Great idea Ohodnoceno 3 z 5 hvězdiček

This is a useful extension, the idea is interesting.
However, using a masterkey to protect other key create a single point of failure. If someone (like an untrusted webmaster) achieves to find the masterkey, he'll be able to find every other key. Since the extension "just" appends the url of the website to differentiate the password generated for different websites, the master key can be found if someone reverses the MD5 through brute force.
Furthermore, MD5 is now considered as deprecated. Can't SHA be used instead?
Finally, it could be better to have an open program to retrieve the password instead of having to use a website that we can not verify.
