It's great to see a new version! Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

Very useful to see how things work. A must have for JS developers. There is much space for improvements, but this is a new beginning. Keep up the good work!

I rate 5 stars because this addon has brought me much joy and has helped me to figure out the workings of many lines of other devs' massive javascript codes, but as of Firefox 33 and since 33.0.1 opening the tool just warrants a sad blank window with "No scripts to be display. Try opening a website."

- even when the website I open is my own simpleton's javascript in a blog, it doesn't detect one line firing.

JavaScript Deobfuscator 2.0 is out, you can get it from https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/javascript-deobfuscator/versions while AMO is reviewing it. Making it work with newer Firefox versions was everything but trivial.

Should be: Javascript Execution Monitor Ohodnoceno 1 z 5 hvězdiček

While this addon DOES do something useful in its current version it has an incredibly misleading name. It does not adjust code spacing, variable minification, evaluate math or other expressions or really do anything to actually de-obfuscate code which has been generated by utilities such as packer and UglifyJs.

It does not make code more readable, or understandable. It simply sits atop your JS engine and tells you what your browser is running and when. While this IS important info for security researchers I have to give this addon a single star until it either changes its name to reflect what it actually does or it adds de-obfuscation to its list of features.

Great!!!! the good add-on of java script at firefox.
but do we have a option to choose the langauge of ths add-on, if yes that will be better!!!

The language of the add-ons always matches Firefox language - assuming that this translation is available for the add-on.

Works really well!! Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

A perfect tool for understanding minified/obsfuscated scripts! Perhaps the only feature that would make this even better would be to be able to point to a specific (javascript) file that would be deobsfuscated in full regardless of whether it is executed. Or perhaps a new tab where it would be possible to paste an obsfuscated script for deobsfuscation.

Keep up the good work!

Awesome! Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

I've been looking for this for so long!
It's not flashy, styled, or dare I say polished, but very functional, and shows you real time what's happening. Extremely helpful.

Works, but not very well. Could use some improvements:
-Show what variable(s) an anonymous function is assigned to so it can be backtraced.
-Clean up the code. There are still globs with hundreds of statements per line.
Also, nothing is showing up in the "Executed Scripts" tab.

Well as a proprietary javascript developer, I am happy to see that it couldn't deobfuscate my code. But still a very cool tool to watch how things execute

Thank you.

Wonderful idea with some performance issues Ohodnoceno 3 z 5 hvězdiček

This tool was exactly what I was looking for when trying to troubleshoot some issues with our proxy server.
However, it easily causes Firefox to use up 100% of one of my CPU cores and makes Firefox fail to respond for seconds at a time.
For example, try visiting www.marketwatch.com which is pretty JavaScript heavy and watch your processors go wild.
I think this tool still has a place but anyone using it should be careful to create filters before hitting an active page.

Great addon...

Feature requests tho:
- When window is opened and running have a checkbox to temporarily stop capturing.

- Separate Clear logs

- Deeper scope to include scripts that may be executed locally.

Nice work!

Tato recenze je pro předchozí verzi doplňku (1.5.3).

Can you clarify?

First feature request is obvious and something I want as well. But I don't really understand the other two. How is "Separate Clear logs" different from the "Clear" button? What does "Deeper scope" mean? You can already show browser/extension scripts being executed if you change the filters, only that you need a Firefox 3.5 nightly for this to fully work.

Hi Wladimir, this looks like a great start!

Looking through the output in the Error Console .. looks like one has to sift through a mountain of data in search for a few gems. I guess you can say it's more of a "presentation" UI thing, but this looks good. Difficult to use on a daily basis simply because I can't afford to dig that much.

A way to drill down would be helpful. For instance, if I just want to see all the output from eval() and document.write() and ignore the rest.

Tato recenze je pro předchozí verzi doplňku (1.0).

Trying

I already changed the view from Error Console to a dedicated window with search capabilities, this will probably be released today. Also, there are now two views, one for things being compiled and another for scripts that get executed. The latter should reduce the amount of code you have to look through considerably - unfortunately, right now it tends to be incomplete (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475334).

As to eval vs. document.write - that would be https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449464
