Hi, thanks for your response.
While auto-loading a cookie set on starting firefox would be useful for say, duckduckgo user preferences, I can see how it would be preferable not to auto-load in other usages so it would have to be an optional setting to cover everybody's needs I think.
It's fine as it is anyway, it's only one click to load my cookie file which is no trouble. I just wanted to check that the add-on was working properly and that I was using it correctly.
Thank you :-)
Hi, sorry for posting this here, I couldn't seem to post on your other site.
Anyway I've been playing around with this today, trying out the "auto restore" function.
What seems to happen is that when I start a new session in Firefox, my chosen cookie file doesn't get restored unless/until I open the window of Advanced Cookie Manager.
Is this how it is supposed to work? I was hoping to have my cookies restored immediately on starting Firefox but I can't seem to make that happen even with all my other add-ons disabled. I'm just wondering if this is normal or something I can perhaps fix.
Thanks for this add-on : )
I've just spent half an hour or so on finding out how I can use DuckDuckGo's new search page as my FF start page ... I wanted to be able to use their nice new graphics/layout options but also clean my cookies regularly and yet, not have to sign in to DDG's cloud to restore my settings for each session.
Your add-on appears to do the job excellently.
Hi Chris thanks for your reply to my query.
I've found a usable workaround now, with Classic Theme Restorer to put the app button in the toolbar and S3 Menu Wizard to put Extension Options where I want it.
Seems to be working great in FF29 and Windows 7. Cheers :-)
Hi, sorry for posting here but I was unable to register at Mozillazine.
I'm on FF29 and use the Toolbar Buttons add on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/toolbar-buttons/?src=search) to put a tools menu button in my address bar.
The problem is that although Extension Options Menu appears in the tools menu there, none of the sub items respond to the mouse. If I access your add-on via the normal menu bar it works fine.
Is this fixable at all? I do hope so as your add-on is much easier than opening the add-ons window in FF and I prefer not to use the menu bar.
Thank you :-)
Thank you very much Oleksandr, this is brilliant, an essential tool for people who like everything minimal :-)
I just have a couple of issues to mention ... Ghostery in the tools menu refuses to be hidden for some reason. I can hide it for a session but when I restart FF it's back there every time. Ghostery has no native option to hide its tools menu item either. I even tried shifting it to a hidden sub-menu but it doesn't help sadly. It's only a minor annoyance though.
The other thing is, in FF29 I tried using Classic Theme Restorer to put the App Menu in the toolbar next to the address box. This works fine, but your add on doesn't recognise it so I can't edit any items in it. Can anything be done about this?
Many thanks for your work anyway, great job.
This seems extremely useful, I can see myself using it a lot.
An option to have a toolbar button as well as the hotkey would be handy.
Excellent add on.
The only thing missing for me really is a one-click "sort alphabetically" option for the menu.
I really really like this add on, I do hope you're able to fix the present bug soon : )Tato recenze je pro předchozí verzi doplňku (2.11). Tento uživatel má jednu dřívější recenzi tohoto doplňku.
Nicely done, thank you for your time : )
It seems that some functions of Gdrive when accessed in your panel, e.g. download, open Gdrive in a browser window. Is this a limitation?
Uploads on the other hand can be done entirely in the panel.
Excellent, thank you!
It's really been bugging me that a bookmarks search doesn't limit itself to the open folder ... thank you for providing a fix : )
Like other posters here I think I've tried all the cookie managers on this site and this one remains my favourite.
It has more abilities/options than I use (or indeed understand) but what I want it to do, it does perfectly.
If I could have one request, it would be for a whitelist export/save function.
It doesn't work perfectly for all add-on bar items but it's still worth having I think for the ones it can rearrange, especially in combination with UI Fixer.
Very good, with a bit of fiddling you can get rid of the pointless double menu design too.
Great stuff and lots of options make it quite a powerful tweaker.I spent a while thinking that the "open in sidebar" bookmarks click didn't work, until I realised that I was clicking the default button while Personal Menu had added another : )
Nice add on, thank you. Please don't break it Mozilla!
(After thought ... having spent half an hour getting my app menu "just so", an Export Settings option would be handy!)
Nice, I tried it in IceDragon a while ago and the context menu kept disappearing but it seems fine in FF.
@JES, MMouse=Middle button (i.e click the scroll wheel) and I think this add on only has auto-reload for failed pages as far as I can see.
If you want to set any page to refresh/reload automatically at whatever time interval you say, TabMixPlus does that very nicely along with a whole load of other useful stuff.
Very smart, it looks great especially with No Squint to tweak the text colours.
It would be nice if there was an easier way to toggle it on/off but it's still a keeper.
It took me a couple of attempts (install, uninstall, re-install) to get the toolbar icon showing but it seems fine now and is indeed a very nice add on.
Just one thing, which is that when logged out of my account I see that the add on opens gmail in a tab for me to sign in every time it checks for new mails and it opens a new tab every time. Thus when I popped out for a while it opened a whole load of gmail tabs while I was gone.
If auto-opening the tab could be made optional that would be a good addition.
Thanks for a good extension anyway : )
Yes I know ... I'm just being lazy.
Sometimes I have a lot of add-ons so it means scrolling down a long list to find Slim :-D
Thanks for your response.
Yes I noticed it was already in the whitelist but I didn't know if I'd done that some other time.
It works fine anyway as long as the page I want to translate also has Noscript permissions.
Hm.Adding my account as BlahBlah@gmail.com means that the add on refuses to accept my password.
I thought I'd try it as BlahBlah@googlemail.com ... well it accepts my password now but clicking the toolbar icon opens some weird google apps "moma" page whatever the heck that is.
The search goes on lol.
