Very good. I was missing in on FF3 betas, and it seems other people are.
So I am advertising the answer to others: at http://tmp.garyr.net, especially http://tmp.garyr.net/dev-builds/
The latest version works for me in FF3b5.
complete tab management. I always install this when i reinstall firefox ...
1 of the add-ons I wish to install as long as I use FF!!!
I love this Add on. Adds allot
Does everything you need it to, and more. Often useful, but these days I find myself trying to minimize extension bloat and this is the first on the chopping block.
Great Add-one, I like it and it is the reason that I use Firefox everyday.
A must have for firefox, no ques asked. Just waiting for it to get updated for FF3
This extension eats many core key and menu combos on 188.8.131.52. I can no longer close the browser with ^W, nor can I quit the browser with ^Q, once I have this extension loaded. I also cannot use File -> Close from the default menu. It is ignored because this extension eats that combination.
If I disable this extension and restart, ^W and ^Q work as expected.
This was NOT a problem with 184.108.40.206 and earlier. It seems to be a bug that introduced itself with 220.127.116.11
Great AddOn, but it would really be perfect if you could add a mouse gestures compatibility -> like holding down the Right Mouse Button and scrolling the Wheel would have the same effect as holding down the Ctrl and pressing Tab.
Pretty good. It could use a little optimization, somewhat slow, but it's not terrible. The features are worth it.
Fantastic add-on the progress meter showing on the tab is great once you try it you won't go back. there is a version on his forum for firefox beta 4
should update this software for FF3 and above.
Lots of people here uses FF3.
Or update after official release of FF3
A Nice addon. Except for some glitches.
1) Slows down Firefox startup like anything. [But I can live with that]
2) On clicking download attachment links in gmail, the gmail tab goes blank. this affects my ongoing chats and is very irritating. If I right click and open in new tab, it works fine. [Dont know if anyone else facing the same]
This is one of only two add-ons I cannot live without. Please keep up with the Firefox 3 beta 4 install as it does not currently install. The tab options were a perfect reflection of how users use the tabs.
It adds a lot of functionality, which mostly work. But at this rate it will be bigger than Firefox itself, and it seems to pose problems. For instance, I had some problems of tabs not being sized properly and seemingly expanding beyond the Firefox window, causing formatting problems. And I concur that a session manager should be a separate add on.
I just need an add-on that allows customising clicks on tabs and tabs bar, and this causes too many inconvenience to make it fit for this sole purpose. Too bad.
Works great for me ... would be nice if it had an advanced feature to delay startup of tabs in a particular order and delay timer for each that I would pick for each one ... a default and an override ... maybe the first it more important so I would give it more time to be sure it loaded before the others.
I thought it was one of the best plugins for Firefox when using Ver 2. Unfortunately, it is not available for the latest Beta version where the need is even more as the built in New Tab opening does not work properly! Looking forward to an Update...
quality; well done
TMP is a must have for me. Unlike some of the other reviewers I have not found it buggy or too large - quite the contrary it's stable and well designed. It allows me to customize the FF GUI so I can identify and navigate FF much easier.
Some of the features(crash recovery) are now in the code base of FF and it wouldn't surprise me to find more TMP features become standard FF code.
Great work by all of the developers.
I just finished setting this plugin up, and already know I'll never be able to use Firefox again without it.
This is a MUST HAVE extension! :)
I have used this extension for a very long time, and in my opinion it is one of the most useful extensions out there - so much in fact, that I find using FF without it really challenging (on my home computer I'm using FF 3 Beta 3 - this extension does not support it yet unfortunately).
So what exactly makes it so good? All-in-one extension - no need to have lot's of small extensions for each sub-feature, less mess in general. Auto-reload, tab-duplication to new tab/window, tab moving to new window, window merging - the small things that often come in handy. Undo closed tab/window - often saves time and in my opinion is much better than any separate extension. Session restore - my favorite part and again, much better than any dedicated extension I have come across - except, that sessions can't be saved into files like in some other extensions. But then again, each session in the list have it's own right-mouse-click menu that allows one to add tabs/windows to already saved session (among other things like renaming and so on).
The save-session to file(s) (or along with settings, that CAN be saved/restored to/from file) feature would be the only feature request that comes into mind.
As for claim that it slows FF down - I haven't exactly tested it, but as far as I have noticed, it has no slowing-down effect other than FF has itself (too many flash objects makes FF2 extremely slow), and it doesn't seem to conflict with any of the other extensions that I have (about 10 or so).
Usefull, and excellent, one of the reasons I stay on FF rather than Opera is this puppy, I dont know why some are saying its buggy maybe they have other addons interfering with this one but I have about 20 other addons besides this and it works just fine on my stable FF2
Sorry. Tab Mix Plus is a great idea in theory, but it always seems to mess up my Firefox. I have tried numerous extensions, and have found that Tab Mix Plus is the one that causes the most problems, such as slowing Firefox to a crawl, or making it stop responding.
And, you have been warned here, uninstalling it doesn't always fix the problems it creates. I have had to create a new profile to fix the problems Tab Mix Plus created for me.
I woulda given it alot more, but the file size is just too large for what it is.
And who needs a session manager making that file size even bigger? (that should be a diff plugin if needed, coz I dont need it!)
