Doesn't play nice with Lastpass autofill Ohodnoceno 4 z 5 hvězdiček
Sadly, I always have to turn of the extension when using auto login with Lastpass autofill. IT sometimes works when using a random desktop browser, set to change once per few minutes, but rarely. I've tried fixing the problem temporarily through a white list, but it isn't very polished either.
Many good features, some of them seem broken Ohodnoceno 4 z 5 hvězdiček
I was testing RAS an came across some features which doesn't seem to work (tested with according test websites promoted in the Wiki):
- Time zone spoofing
- Screen Size spoofing
- Disable canvas support
- Disable webGL
- The temporary mail provider mailinator is no more supported (https://www.mailinator.com/deadpage.jsp) .
- koszmail seems down.
I would love to have test utilities for every aspect of the extension so users can be sure it is working like intended. Also users need to tweak a lot of settings for optimal results. Maybe implement some buttons (easy, medium, paranoid) which trigger according settings.
All in all a great extension which i love to use, even more when certain bugs are resolved.
Keep up the good work!
A fun idea, but flawed by design Ohodnoceno 1 z 5 hvězdiček
The upshot is that this add-on does cloak your actual browser fingerprint. However, the randomizer wants to select obscure operating system/browser combinations that make your browser fingerprint SUPER unique, and that actually makes your activities easier to track.
Even in manual mode, the browser/OS options are dated by several versions. In a world where software mostly updates itself without user intervention, fingerprints with dated version numbers tend to stand out (the best combination I can find in the list provided only makes my print unique to 0.08% according to amiunique org). The dated fingerprint profiles could also be the reason for many of the compatibility complaints in the comments below.
Idea: in addition to a random agent spoofer, how about a "common agent spoofer" that sets your fingerprint to the most current and most common OS/browser combination, thereby making fingerprints more anonymous? Please consider.
Defeats itself Ohodnoceno 1 z 5 hvězdiček
This addon seems great, but it defeats it's own purpose because it is always outdated. The browser versions in this add-on are around 5-10 versions (at least half a year) behind the current version of the browser they are supposed to pose as. That means instead of hiding the user in a pool of hundreds of millions of people, they are hiding him in the 0.000001% of people whose browser still hasn't been updated after 6 months, even though it has an autoupdate feature. So it doesn't hide you, it actually makes you stand out. For this to work, it needs to be updated every time a new browser version comes out, so it doesn't get stuck on Chrome 43 or Firefox 40 when the whole world is already at version 53 and 47.

thanks for this great addon.
Delivers almost awesomely Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček
The whitelist doesn't seem to work properly though. While I'm at it I could request an white list for other extensions too (ie, let the extension communicate without going through the spoofer). Reason found below.
One thing that might help some users: disable the option "Use click to play for plugins" if you use password managers, it breaks the auto fill feature. It seems some extensions don't like some options available.
A small edition: would a feature to randomize keyboard strokes timing be feasible? Seems you can be profiled by the interval you take from one key to the other. Scary.

Besides the randomness mode, this add-on allows you to choose from many other User-Agent profiles.
My only complaint is the WhiteList tab is text based. I would expect an easy button to add whitelisted websites. I'm not certain if its working entirely either, since I whitelisted "google.com" but maybe that could be due to a browser restart.

I love this addon! It allows me to uninstall a lot of other things. I especially love the option to block headers along with the useragent. And I love the little extra temporary email creator.
One problem I haven't been able to solve: I can't get the Whitelist to work with this site (mozilla addaons.) No matter what options I add, or how I format the url, this site never detects the Firefox useragent I specify (unless I disable RAS.) The whitelist works great with other websites though. (What I ended up doing what excluding all desktop browser useragents except for Firefox and Palemoon. The version is incorrect but at least I can force addon installs.)
Good but... Ohodnoceno 3 z 5 hvězdiček
it breaks sync service, still I do not know how to whitelist the mozilla sync server in order to have a working sync!
Does what it says Ohodnoceno 4 z 5 hvězdiček
A couple suggestions though:
1) Add a little bit of randomness to the available fonts when "Limit detectable fonts" is chosen. Otherwise, having a much smaller subset of the fonts most people have could itself be used as an identifier. Maybe swap a few fonts around during a profile change, or something like that.
1a) Allow a user to whitelist fonts so that they are always available.
2) It would be nice to have more specific categories to choose from, such as "random Firefox browsers"/etc. Maybe use checkboxes instead of radio buttons, so that I could, for example, choose Random Firefox profiles from Windows and Linux.
3) A more detailed description of what "script injection" is doing, at least in the User Manual, since script injection (as a general rule) sounds like a very bad thing.

RAS is a fantastic addon. I love it Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček
This addon is packed full of features like the temporary emails using the context menu. It works really well and has a light footprint. I'm really excited for the next release with the script injection fixes.
Its addons like this that keep me on firefox! My data is my data and addons like this help keep the users in control of that data, the way is should be.
Thanks again dillbyrne. Keep up the great work
Great add-on Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček
I use it everyday, very convenient.
But i can't get rid of the yellow message from Gmail which says "This version of Chrome is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a supported browser".
Even adding Gmail to the White List won't prevent the message from appearing.
Anyone could help me?
Good agent spoofer Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček
I have used 3 addons to fake my useragent but this is the best. Light and easy to use.
Amazing Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček
I work in security and this is one of my favorite extensions. I trust this developer and they have contributed several amazing plugins to help protect users at large.
REQUEST: One thing I do wish this had was the ability to edit a few other settings important to user privacy. Especially Keep-Alive Timeout and Sessions lengths. http://ip-check.info is a good place to see some of the things this can help with and not. It would also be cool if each item had a tooltip for help reference of it's effect.
Great add-on but needs some improvements Ohodnoceno 4 z 5 hvězdiček
I love the add-on and I've been using it for quite some time.
But white-listing really needs to be improved. First of all, there needs to be some documentation about white-listing format and options. I've looked around github page and didn't see much about it. White-listing definitely needs to support wildcards and domains. It is bothersome to turn it off whenever I want my browser to be detected properly.
Lots of customization. Ohodnoceno 4 z 5 hvězdiček
Important privacy plugin. Works very well. Various optional preferences cause sites to break, but the defaults don't seem to.
The random browser selections can end up causing sites to think you need to update your browser. It would be nice if there were a way to restrict the range of browsers based on release date. Sites like caniuse.com allow this. Perhaps they have an API that can just be queried.
