Sadly Not So Vital Anymore... Ohodnoceno 3 z 5 hvězdiček

Used to be an addict of this addon on FF2 because of its vital functionality. But as of FF3 (>=v3.08) Firefox ALREADY provides the function of storing "site zoom level" per site, simply try the feature on an "empty" profile. Since NoSquint also stores per site settings in prefs.js, unless you need extra functionality (toolbar and statusbar icons) you won't need NoSquint like you used to be anymore...

Partly true

It's true that Firefox 3 stores per-site zoom settings, but it still doesn't allow you to set a default zoom level, which is a trivial but killer feature for a lot of users. Also, NoSquint is much smarter about what it calls a site, and its Exceptions mechanism allows a great deal of flexibility beyond what Firefox 3 has.

Also, the next version of NoSquint will have a per-site color feature, which Firefox lacks natively.

VERY VERY VERY useful, especially for large screen resolutions

Please can you make it compatible with FF3.1beta 3 ?

Yup

It's coming soon. Within a week I will post an update to my website, and then make it available from addons.mozilla.org some time thereafter (depending on user feedback).

A necessity for high resolution, widescreen displays Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

I've been using this extension for years and absolutely love it! The main benefits are 1) zoom level increment adjustment, 2) default zoom adjustment, and most importantly 3) remembering the zoom level per site.

No Squint performs flawlessly with FF3.0. However, I had to hack it to get it to work with FF3.1b2 because there isn't a new version for FF3.1. No Squint worked fine with the hack until I upgraded to FF3.1b3. Now No Squint no longer remembers zoom settings -- even when simply switching from tab to tab.

The good news is that I did find another extension that provides the same basic functionality as No Squint and works with FF3.1. It's called "Default FullZoom Level" and can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965.

Not just nice, necessary Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

One of the most sensible and straightforward add-ons for Firefox. Greatly increases usability not just of the browser but of the web. Now that so many designers are specifying type in pixels rather than points -- and thus ignoring the consequences of various screen sizes and resolutions -- No Squint is an absolute necessity for viewing and being able to read -- actually read -- web pages. Hats off; this is genius.
PS: I have used this on systems with Vista, Vista-64, Win 2000, and several Linux distros, all without problems.
A great piece of programming that makes up for the laziness of untold numbers of web designers.

Excellent for lounge room PC's Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

As the title suggests, I have a lounge room PC and often browse the web from right across the room using a wireless keyboard. This add on is pretty much essential unless you enjoy constantly resizing and zooming every page you come accross.

I couldn't really imagine not using this now i'm used to it, and even now grab it whenever i install Firefox, on any sort of computer.

I've been using this add in for a long time now and it is the one that I can't browse without.

However, latest firefox version seems to have built in zooming capabilities using the same Ctrl+Scroll, except that it does not support remembering each site setting.

WARNING!!: Gr8 addon, BUT if U set the default zoom level N E thing other than 100% U can have video display problems, such as cropping away the navigation bar in flash videos on TheYNC, Live Leak, etc.

Keep this in mind & ALWAYS set the default 2 100%, & U can punch the menu buttons or use mouse wheel if U want - otherwise, VIDEO PROBLEMS! =P

Took me a half hour disabling & re-adding addons 2 find this 1 was the culprit!

A release advertising support for Firefox 3.1 will be out within a week or two, if all goes well.

I suggest make URL for site setting editable. And add an interface to list the set sites.

Very good! Can be better if the status bar field, context menu item, or the site setting dialog can detect mouse wheel scroll.

Wonderful with a few nits Ohodnoceno 5 z 5 hvězdiček

On my Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64 system the control and shift mouse wheel functions don't appear to work. Instead, the control modifier on my mouse wheel decreases the scroll increment.

The first site I tried was a disappointment. I've long hated the default format for the scoreboards (NHL) at ESPN. When I use page zoom, the fonts overprint to such a degree it can be hard to click on the links.

My first test of No Squint was to zoom up the width of the scoreboard to the width of my screen, then dial back the fonts until I could read them again.

Disappointingly, no font zoom less than 100% has any effect on this site. I don't get this, because a 150 page zoom with an 80 font zoom still has the font *larger* than the default font size, just not as much larger as the page zoom alone, so it's not as if the problem has to do with the font size as such.

I groused about the loss of text zoom throughout the FF 3.0.x release cycle. In my opinion, ctrl-shift +/- should control text zoom in the default configuration.

For remembering site specific defaults, an extension such as No Squint is the way to go.
