This extension does what it says it does.
However, I would like them to make it so this will work on Firefox 57 and higher.
Thanks Endor08 for the info.
The Author has a new working version 0.10.5a3 on his Site:
Thank you for the fast fix.
Is there a suitable alternative extension? So sad that Infolister does not work on FF v50+. I don't understand why it can't be fixed!?
Years ago this addon had a feature that was removed - I don't know why:
On browser start the list was automatically saved in a specified format to a specified location.
Now there is a feature that is not practically useful for most users:
On browser exit the list can be uploaded by ftp ...
Please add the save-on-start feature again.
Will not function in Firefox 50.
Version 0.10.5a2 - avbl at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/infolister/versions/?page=1#version-0.10.5a2 - works flawlessly.
mtks for updating
thank you very much for updating InfoLister 0.10.5a1 ! (see "other Versions")
is working like a super-addon for thunderbird 31.6.0 - great addon !!!!!!!
Loved this when it worked. Going to mozilla.doslash.org/infolister/ now talks about a moving company? I'm already running the 0.10.4.a3 version.
Edit: Thanks to a reply of the developer (Developers!Developers!Developers!), I now have a working version of it! Thank you!
Yeah, the old website is dead. https://nickolay.github.io/infolister/ has an updated version.
Нужный адд-он, вот только в новых версиях лисы 24.х.х пишет несовместимо...
I modified version 0.10.4a3.
InfoLister 0.10.4a3. http://mozilla.doslash.org/infolister/
The way of modification referred to the following.
"January 8, 2010", "Not available for Firefox 28.0" (Windows 8.1 x64). RIP?
try "Extension List Dumper"
please update for FF20-21
Please update this Extension ( FF 16.0.x ) !!!!!!!
(I wonder whether this will come at the following of what I already said, that had an answer ...)
Oh well, version 0.10.4a3 seems to work fine, thanks (but please read all this before installing). (Thunderbird 11, Firefox 10, Windows XP Home SP3)
Except ... in Firefox I now only have NoScript and InfoLister, whereas beforewards I had more than a dozen extensions :)
I shall see if can catch that back with a backup.
No problem seen in Thunderbird.
Well, here is an update : fortunately, Firefox makes regularly a copy of prefs.js, with a number after the name : prefs-1js, prefs-2.js ... Open prefs.js in the notepad, copy the line that concerns infolister, close the file, rename it. Find a recent version, rename it prefs.js, open it with notepad, paste the line with infolister in it. Save the file. That should run fine. Thank you to help your neighbour with that ;)
I had no problem with Thunderbird. In case that was just a question of chance, I should recommend to do a copy of its prefs.js before installing infolister. You can also verify you have a copy of it for Firefox.
I presume you guess that before opening prefs.js, you are supposed to close the relevant software (Thunderbird or Firefox).
@ Monty_Stegall - use the Add-on Compatibility Reporter https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ 2 install out-of-ver add-ons!..:)
How about for Firefox 5 ?
Thanks for the update 0.10.4 available at your site http://mozilla.doslash.org/infolister/ works great alone or with template. Tested in 4.0b11 and in 4.0b12pre Review mainly for those that don't look at developer's notes, or may not notice developer's reply which can only be seen on "See all reviews". Thanks Nickolay for updating.
What time will the software update? Thanks you!
A version for Firefox 4 is now available from http://mozilla.doslash.org/infolister/ . Sorry to keep you waiting for so long!
I was hoping it would work for 4.0b1 but no luck. Hopefully there's an update soon. Good extension otherwise.
Re: Frédéric Jeanbart - There is no privacy issue. The master password prompt is because the extension stores a password for an optional FTP upload site. The developer might want to find a way to avoid the prompt unless the feature is being used though, since others will also be concerned about privacy.
A request was made to compare Extension List Dumper and InfoLister. I give both 5 stars, here is my comparison in some detail:
Brief Comparison of Extension List Dumper (ELD) and InfoLister (IL):
1. The biggest difference between these 2 extensions is that ELD works in the extensions (add-ons) window and generates an output file, and IL sits on the Tools menu (by default, this is configurable) and displays a list any ordinary FF window. IL can also generate an output file, that's an extra step, albeit very easy.
2. ELD allows you to specify all, enabled, disabled, incompatible. IL allows you to specify extensions, themes, plugins.
2. Both can save in various formats ... txt, html, BBCode. ELD offers csv, IF offers xml, xpi list, XML, XML+XSLT. IL allows for use of custom templates.
3. Both highlight disabled extensions. For me, IL does this in a more visible way, with "[Disabled]" appearing to the right enough to stand out nicely.
4. If you select HTML in ELD, then both provide links, where available.
5. ELD enables inclusion of the extension description.
6. IL provides the ability to upload via ftp, http, https, and to do so automatically on exit (presumably from FF, I did not test this feature.)
7. ELD offers buttons to print and copy to clipboard.
Well, I hope I haven't missed too much. Thanks to both developers, both extensions appear to me to work flawlessly. I actually have both installed, precisely because one works in the UI, the other in the extensions window. So I can get a list from anywhere.
Good, but you don't need this if you have MRTech Toolkit installed.
