


If you wish to resize an image to a standard size to use it as favicon, or more importantly, if you wish to convert an image to a "data:image/png;base64..." type of data URI for use with an <img> tag on your web page, this addon will come in handy. It also helps you to know the URL of the favicon of a website, if needed.
Here's the overly detailed HowTos for v0.25 (it's different from v0.24 or lower):

- How to convert an image on webpage: Just right click on the image, choose 'Convert image to favicon' and select the size you want or choose and enter custom size.
- How to convert an image on your hard drive: In Firefox, press Ctrl+O and choose the image on your hard drive. Then followed the above
- How to convert a background image on webpage: Right click on image and choose "View background image", then follow the above.
- How to get data URI for a site's favicon: Right click on site page and choose "View current site's favicon", then follow the above.
