This Extension, in conjunction with the patrickjdempsey Extension Combine Buttons and the Brand Thunder Extension Canvas, gives me the resources to mock up new Theme ideas. With Reload, Stop and URLBar advanced-combined, the Go, Stop and Reload icons use the same location in the URLBar at need. Go always appears for a New Tab, which is intended behavior.
Ideally, the Go icon should appear whenever I type in a hyperlink manually, but that behavior may be difficult to code due to possible conflicts elsewhere in Firefox. Overall, well done.
I think ever since Firefox 2.0 came out, people have been looking for a one-stop-shop for Retro browsing features. Real-Fox Extension does it! With a host of features drawn from NCSA Mosaic, early Internet Explorer versions, early Netscape Navigator versions and even older Firefox versions, this is a great companion extension for ANY retro theme!
It's a go button, all right, but it's rather big and clumsy. It would be much prettier and less space demanding if it wasn't attached to the address-bar. Perhaps inside the address-bar instead? Then it wouldn't take up so much space on the navigation toolbar and closer to the URL you want to navigate to.
You will be more free in customizing the space occupied by Go Button in version 0.006, as the following will be present: * new option: go-button label. After updating, it will be "" = no label. Input anything you want. Maybe, not in English :) * new option: go button image can be absent
The expected date of publication of the 0.006 version is March 2010.
