Doesn't seem to work for me on 29.0.1. After figuring out where the button to activate the server ended up (it's just to the right of the new menu button on the new UI) I activated the server after having made sure the proper port was forwarded and disabled my firewall. I can't connect to it at all however.

If I'm doing something wrong the instructions should probably be updated to be more clear on how to get it setup properly.

Works fine for me. Minimal effort to run a local webserver with this addon. To start the webserver, click on the divhttp icon in the addon bar of firefox. In my case this bar is at the bottom of firefox window and the icon on the right side. A more obvious way to start/stop server would be nice, as people might try to do this via addon options dialogue in firefox.

I could not get the DivHTTP server started. There are options to set path of served files and port. But it does not have an option to start stop the server.

This might help

Hi samarjit and thanks for your feedback. First, I must say that in all computers that I tested work as expected. I can think that you are trying to run the server from the options page but this is only a option to set the default directory and port. To run the server open the Addon Bar and click on the DivHTTP icon. To enable the Addon Bar on Firefox 23/24 do a right click on Home button and chek if it's enabled.
