It's enough to change maxVersion and this extension works great with newest Firefox - 10.0.2 at the moment. The only minus is that extension doesn't remember size of the window and it starts too small but that's a relative minor issue.
Oui, très nécessaire
You can update this yourself to 4.0, albeit it looks off when you do. (I have to resize it, but it works the same.)
Go to where you can download the add-on and right click on the link. Save the file to your desktop.
Add to the extension ".zip" and open the file. Take out the file named install.rdf and open it with notepad.
Change the max version to 4.0.* or whatever. (4.6.* works too)
It's the line here:
Save it, put it back in the zip, remove the zip extension, and drag the file to an open browser window. Restart firefox.
From what I've heard of it, it seems to be a good addon... but when can we expect a version compatible with firefox 4.0
Eagerly awaiting :)
Needed a simple and easy to use cookie editor and this worked perfectly. If there was one feature that I'd request be added would be a "restart FireFox" option namely because some (most) cookies requires that you restart FireFox in order for changes to take affect. If it had this option then I'd probably give it 5 stars.
It is very good!
Main problem I find with it has no support contact.
Editor loads with too small window size which cuts off the close button and has to be resized every time.
Same add-on v0.3.1 by V@no is much better and does not suffer with this problem. It loads each time the correct window size.
Doesn't work with 3.6.8 and 3.6.10 versions of Firefox. It edits values in cookie but doesn't save its.
Works fine for me
Decent add-on, I think it's the only one that lets you do this sort of thing - editing cookies.
At first I thought this add-on didn't work because I tried to change the "Path" attribute and the changes wouldn't save. (If that's what you're trying to do, write down the current cookie values, delete the cookie, then add it with the new Path value you want.)
However, I later discovered that I was able to edit the Content and expiration date fields just fine, so I guess this does work more-or-less after all.
One other thing: After installation, you can find this add-on in Tools -> Cookie Editor. I guess that's obvious in retrospect, but the first place I looked was for an extra button or menu option in the standard cookie window - nope.
Works fine. Remember that you have to allow 3rd party cookies. If you don't enable 3rd party cookies then you can't save the changes to cookies. This should be part of the documentation!
This add-on doesn't work at all,
about 1 out of 100 cookies you change expiration date actually work, the others simply are not changed.
Also craps out when the cookie content is empty.
Excellent. Default window size when using the extension is too small though. Be nice if you could tweak that...
Excellent for altering saved cookies for logins. Now I can determine how long a site "remembers" my login.
The image is too small. Please upload a larger version
I am the first reviewer of this add on!
It is great! same as before.
