They just shut down. Why are they still available for an install? Otherwise I would give them 5 stars.
not working with Best Buy after May 3, 2016
get to know about add-ons
its a very useful addon but one problem is that i have to be signed in in the website (example amazon) for its result to be displayed
I installed the add-on in firefox and went to amazon and flipkart sites. However, the icon of pricezombie didn't show as mentioned.Would have been good if it worked.
Addon no longer supports Newegg cutting out a major retailer of tech parts.
Completely ruined the addon for me.
Raymond, Newegg is still supported on the PriceZombie website. Unfortunately we have no control over what access a store permits.
It's unfortunate you're choosing to give us 1 star when this was Newegg's call. You'd be better off supporting stores that are confident enough to allow price comparison than punishing PriceZombie for something it had no control over.
I like how non-intrusive this is on the browser but I wasn't having any luck searching for cosmetic items on multiple, mega-sites sites like Sephora, Ulta, Drugstore.com, Target, and Amazon. The PZ indicator for the item simply wouldn't show up for these items, but did work on the test product link that they supplied. I thought I may have been searching for items that were too obscure to be tracked so I tried it with the UD Naked palette (which has been around for at least 5 years) and still was not getting any price tracking action. Perhaps this is geared more towards electronic items etc., but if I had a suggestion it would be that someone fill this niche.
I see a ton of results from the web search:
I then went to Amazon and searched:
Every product I pulled up, had information in the browser plugin.
That said, the product information we provide comes directly from the stores. We have no control over the information provided. The only thing we can do is remove stores if the feed is bad and contains invalid data.
If you'd like to contact me directly (using the contact form on pricezombie.com) I can go over your search results that you are having issue with.
Excellent price tracking addon, one of the best. Unobtrusive, hidden away in address bar until needed. Great performance, stability. Catches and alerts of price drops quicker and more accurately than others I've tried. Extremely useful. Recommended.
I keep selecting items on Newegg and it seldom shows other sites that I know carry the same product. It's non-intrusive though and that's a plus. But it just doesn't do what I need. Thanks.
Note for Dev Reply: This includes Amazon which I believe doesn't fall into the "mismatched" upc category.
David, we match up products between stores based on known values such as UPC. If a store feed doesn't include the UPC, then we won't be able to match up products between the stores. Some stores, such as BestBuy will have unique UPCs created for an identical product sold elsewhere. I've heard this prevents price matching, but whatever the case is, we're going to be limited by the data the stores supply.
Priceblink is fine if you are into comparison of current prices between stores. There are others like Invisiblehand that work the same way. But that style of service won't provide you with price history which is vital to getting a good price. e.g; price gets jacked up before the holidays, you find the best current price at $300 for a pair of headphones, unwittingly buying at the peak price, when it was $210 a month prior.
Love it! Anytime I buy something, I make sure to check PZ first! Super useful add-on!!
This add-on is epic. Especially for bargain shoppers like me. Setting a threshold point alerts me when something I want falls into the budget I want to pay. Covers all the major retailers I'd normally look over and more. And best all the developers will talk to you about anything and everything about the present and future of their work openly and honestly.
I have to say I like that it is very unobtrusive. Other price trackers I have used pop up things all over the screen when shopping which can be a tad annoying. Browsing a few things tonight and it is very accurate.
Awesome price tracker. I love that it isn't limited to just amazon.
I've been using price trackers for the last several years, and after you've used one, the rest are all basically the same thing. They all do Amazon and they all do price charts.
I am blown away with Pricezombie's extension! Instead of doing the same thing like everyone else has been doing, stopping with Amazon, they have results from a whole bunch of stores. Now I can tell at a glance if I'm getting a good deal or not without having to visit google shopping to verify.
