The new UI is a disaster. Before, I knew exactly what I wanted to block and what not. Now I'm being patronized. That's why I'm still using version 8.12.13 with the automatic updates turned off.

I used this while I used Firefox as my browser. It did what it said it would do, has an intuitive user interface and lets you easily see what it is doing.
I recommend it for folks still using Firefox.

Firefoxに存在する他の広告ブロック系の拡張機能と比較した場合、Ghoateryの利点はずばり「シンプルで分かりやすいこと」です。
　ここで比較対象となるのはublock originやAdguardなどになりますが、それらとは異なりフィルターを選択・管理することがまず無いというのは大きな利点でしょう。ダウンロード時点でブロック機能は十分であり、強いて挙げれば言語ごとのフィルターを選ぶ程度（それも初期時点で自国の言語は対応しています）。
　一部要素を非表示するようなカスタマイズ性を求め出すと少し物足りないかもしれませんが、取り敢えず広告を防ぎたいライトユーザーとしては問題ないかと思います。

I've been using Ghostery for about 4 years now, really useful to not get flooded by ads.
My father recommended me this to get rid of trackers, wasn't sure about how useful it was to install that kind of extension. Right now I don't feel comfy going on Firefox without my ghostery active.
Really love the feature that refuses cookies on every single page. Prevents me to find the little "continue without accepting", that annoying windows just goes off and you're free to navigate on their website without sending your datas.

No lie, the first thing I do whenever I install a new Linux OS or reset an Android phone is install ghostry on the browser. Hands down, the best of it's kind.

I've been using Ghostery for 7 years already and I can say that it saved me from a couple of unwanted ads, popups, trackers...
As long as I'm browsing the internet, this trusty little addon will stay in my browser doing it's job like an unseen superhero.

Was an AdBlocker user from Windows XP on. Switched to Ghostery when I started using Mozilla instead of IE11. Runs quietly and does it's job. Still compatible on Win7 Pro 64 platform. Computing is flawless and so is privacy.
