Click it and the full transcript / closed captions of\nthe video are copied straight to your clipboard as clean plain text — ready\nto paste into notes, a summarizer, a translator, or anywhere else.\n\nFeatures\n- One click, no page reload, no extra tabs\n- Works with manual captions and auto-generated (ASR) captions\n- Prefers a manually-written English track when available, falls back to any\n available language\n- Survives YouTube's single-page navigation (works after clicking to a new\n video without reloading)\n- Button stays out of the way — only appears on player hover\n\nPrivacy\nThis extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or\nbrowsing history. It only reads caption data directly from the YouTube page\nyou are already viewing, and writes the result to your local clipboard.\nNothing is sent to any third-party server.\n\nLimitations\n- Only works on videos that actually have captions (manual or\n auto-generated). If a video has none, the button shows \"No captions\".\n- Auto-generated (ASR) transcripts have no punctuation — that's a YouTube\n limitation, not the extension."},"developer_comments":null,"edit_url":"https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/addon/yt-transcript-copier-btn/edit","guid":"youtube-transcript-copier@amir7698","has_eula":false,"has_privacy_policy":true,"homepage":null,"icon_url":"https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/addon_icons/3073/3073189-64.png?modified=ec586b84","icons":{"32":"https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/addon_icons/3073/3073189-32.png?modified=ec586b84","64":"https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/addon_icons/3073/3073189-64.png?modified=ec586b84","128":"https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/addon_icons/3073/3073189-128.png?modified=ec586b84"},"is_disabled":false,"is_experimental":true,"is_noindexed":false,"last_updated":"2026-09-19T09:30:27Z","name":{"en-GB":"YouTube Transcript Copier"},"previews":[],"promoted":[],"ratings":{"average":0.0,"bayesian_average":0.0,"count":0,"text_count":0},"ratings_url":"https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yt-transcript-copier-btn/reviews/","requires_payment":false,"review_url":"https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/reviewers/review/3073189","slug":"yt-transcript-copier-btn","status":"public","summary":{"en-GB":"Adds a \"Copy transcript\" button to the YouTube player — grab the full video\ntranscript as plain text in one click.
