BEWARE: Kills Findbar Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm on Firefox 50.0. I recently installed several addons/extensions, one of them being Tamper Data. I was (emphasis on past tense) quite impressed with Tamper Data. Around the same time that I installed the aforesaid addons/extensions, I began having a seemingly-unrelated problem with Firefox: the findbar completely stopped appearing (neither CTRL + F or Edit -> Find did anything whatsoever). As "find" functionality is one of the most usefel and essential tools in Firefox (or any other browser, or any other application for that matter), I racked my brains for 4 days trying to figure out why Firefox's findbar suddenly stopped working.

In desperation, I disabled all of my addons/extensions (I have many) and then went through a painstaking process re-enabling one addon/extension at a time and then restarting Firefox to see whether or not any addon/extension might be disabling my fidnbar. Through this process I discovered that enabling the Tamper Data addon/extension breaks (disables) my findbar!

I was just about to donate to the developer of Tamper Data when I discovered this problem. Thank goodness I discovered Tamper Data to be the cause of my findbar problem before donating!

If you're thinking about donating, please be warned to first check to make sure that this addon/extension doesn't break any of your normal Firefox functionality! I will look for a suitable alternative to Tamper Data and let you guys know what I find.

Can't reproduce

On Windows 10, with only TamperData and WebDeveloper installed ctrl-f seems to work fine.

I suspect something else is going on.

But luckily you dodged the bullet of donating to the food bank I mention in "about this add-on".

A must have testing tool for any web app developer. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

To activate, hold 'alt' key and press 'T' key and you will see the Tamper Data option.

Go to a web page or web form you want to test and activate Tamper Data by pressing 'Start Tamper'.

Submit your form request and enjoy how easily Tamper Data allows you to modify post parameters in real time.

Works great. But there is an issue with context menu being transparent - can be fixed with this userstyle

This is just what I needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

You are a beautiful person. Thank you for this. Without this tool, there's no way to view requests sent by form submits that download a file where target = _blank. Firefox's file dialog kills the tab and the firebug network data.

Why Tool Can't run in 36 firefox !!

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What a great tool, and it also really helps if you want to understand what is going on when you access web pages. The only thing that bothers me is the readability of the info. Sometimes, lines are just too long and so you can't read them. And if too much is beeing sent you can't read it all. Some filtering would be good for this. But all in all, still 5 stars!!
