Starred on GitHub ⭐ (which, funnily enough, has more stars than on here..!)Developer response
posted 11 dae geledeThanks, I'm really glad to hear you're finding it helpful!
And that IS funny, I hadn't noticed GitHub has more stars until you mentioned it just now. Thanks also for the star! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18612813, 12 dae gelede
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18605801, 15 dae geledeThis add-on is super confusing. It said is would stash tabs as a bookmark but you have to go into a separate side bar to see the stashed tabs.
Would have been a great extension but it's not.Developer response
posted 15 dae geledeSorry to hear you've found it confusing. You can see the bookmarks created by Tab Stash in the "Tab Stash" folder under "Other Bookmarks". (You're also free to move the "Tab Stash" folder to someplace else that you're more likely to find, so long as it keeps the name "Tab Stash".) Hope this helps! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15160960, 21 dae geledeMy only problem is that the Tab Stash allows you to save duplicates.
Developer response
posted 19 dae geledeTab Stash does allow duplicates, yes. It used to remove them, but in my experience, this caused some pretty surprising behavior that people were unhappy with (sometimes creating duplicates is intentional), so I haven't found a good way to bring this functionality back yet. Thanks for the comment though! - Rated 5 out of 5by Tinker, 'n maand gelede
- Rated 5 out of 5by Sashi, 'n maand geledeIt's very cool but need 2 options to be perfect:
- Choice to Lock a stash, because we can delete a stash or a tab by mistake. Or just because I open a stash who is a child, I don't want it to be remove from the child group.
- In the sidebard, the color background is always white or black unlike some other addon sidebar who take the color of our setting (Orange background for exemple). I need to choose the background color and the font color please.
BUG: The option(setting) page is refreshing infinitly, I don't know why?
It's just a positive feedback because I REALLY love your Addon! Hope you take it well, really an amazing great work :)Developer response
posted 'n maand geledeHi, thanks for the review! I'm happy to hear you like it and I appreciate the feedback!
Feel free to poke me on GitHub especially about the problem with the options page refreshing infinitely. I haven't been able to see that on my system and if you can share any more details about why it's happening, I'd like to see if I can fix it. (You can also see feature requests / request new features there.)
You can find the link to GitHub under the "Developer Comments" section of the add-on page (below the description). Sorry I can't link to it directly, Mozilla won't let me post links here anymore for some reason. - Rated 5 out of 5by dpi0, 2 maande geledeliterally the best extension on any browser to manage tabs. best thing, SYNCED WITH BOOKMARKS!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nimja, 2 maande geledeHi Josh, I wanted to reach out to you about TS, this is the only way I could find.
I am looking for a 'tab organising' addon to hold multiple tabs, of differing subjects, in their own groups (just like you show in your first three images), and offering an easy backup.
I have been using STG, and was attracted to TS, as from your images I love the interface, and thought I might prefer TS.
After installing, I found TS too unintuitive, I couldn't figure out how to get from the pop-up, to the group interface as in your first three images. Reeading your usage guidance, I have most of it figured out, but when I attempted to import my URLs from STG, TS isn't able to read the .json file.
Then I had a go at exporting my TS tabs, but all I get is an Export page that doesn't seem to do anything (format, Select All, Copy) but it doesn't do anything??
Anyhow, please accept this positive feedback, I'm sure you put a lot into this addon as it looks fabulous and I believe it has a lot of options, I just found it a bit too unintuitive to use it. TYVM!Developer response
posted 2 maande geledeThanks for the note! You're always welcome to open an issue on GitHub for help or feedback (links at the bottom of the addon listing). That said, Import and Export work via copy/paste. Export shows you your stash in different forms which you can copy/paste into some other form. Import allows you to paste in any text containing URLs, and Tab Stash will try to find and load the links contained in whatever you paste.
As a pro tip, Import can split your items into different groups if you put blank lines between them. It can also parse out group names from Markdown (so using a Markdown format works best).
If Tab Stash's Import feature isn't sufficient, you can also import directly into your bookmarks using some other method (e.g. another extension) and then move those bookmarks into your stash using the built-in bookmark editor.
Hope this helps! - Rated 3 out of 5by Helmanfrow, 2 maande geledeThis is fundamentally a reskin of the bookmark sidebar. This is fine, and it is functional, but it doesn't solve my main issues:
1. No way to open a tab directly to a new window; only to the current window
2. No way to click on a folder and open all of its tabs to a new window.
3. No way to quickly restore a complete *browser session* of multiple windows and their respective tabs.Developer response
posted 2 maande geledeYou're right that Tab Stash is not, and does not try to be, a session manager—there are other add-ons out there for that purpose. Tab Stash wants you to be intentional about what you save, because in my experience, that keeps things much more organized vs. tab groups, session managers, etc. Thanks for giving it a try though! - Rated 5 out of 5by sofiehills222, 2 maande geledeI only downloaded Tab Stash a few hours ago. At first I had some trouble figuring out the icons and how to use it. After a few minutes of playing around, I figured it out. This extension is great! I like the simplicity/minimalistic design. When you know how to use it, it's really easy to use. I would say there is a learning curve, though, which I am definitely still on.
It did speed up my workflow, except for the fact that when I downloaded, I spent quite a few minutes just admiring the look of it all. (not a developer problem, I just loved the look of it :) )
Thank you so much for creating this extension. I also greatly appreciate this extension being free. There are no hidden pay-walls (that I've found) and there are no ads. This speed up my workflow tremendously.
Once again, thank you so much for this. Your effort is being greatly appreciated, and I can't wait to see how Tab Stash continues to evolve and improve.Developer response
posted 2 maande geledeThank you for the lovely review, I was really happy to read this!
You are right that Tab Stash is 100% free, no paywalls, no ads, no tracking. I built it for fun, and because it was a tool I needed for myself, and wanted to share with others.
I'm really glad to hear you like the design, and that it's been saving you time. I also hear you on the learning curve—if you have any feedback or suggestions on how to make it easier to get started, I'd love to hear them. Even just knowing what you found difficult to figure out would be helpful.
If you have any thoughts or you ever do have any trouble, you can always find me on GitHub: https://github.com/josh-berry/tab-stash/issues/new/choose

- Rated 5 out of 5by ship, 3 maande geledeI was trying to find an extension that could help me either make my menu bar look nicer because I have so many links it was becoming a bit of an eyesore and I didn't like the look of so many folders across my menu bar. I stumbled across Tab Stash, and it wasn't really what I had in mind but I loved the idea of a vertical side bar that I can toggle open/close so I gave it a go :)!
Tab Stash was much easier to use than I expected (I usually take a long time to figure things out). I personally found it very intuitive! I like how the instructions are detailed yet concise.
I managed to clear out my menu bar and "stash" everything into Tab Stash. I'm still keeping my most used bookmarks along the menu bar, but I'm down from the whole menu bar being filled to just 1/6 of it. It looks so much better now.
I was a bit worried there's no option to hide the "Open all tabs and remove them from this group (hold Cmd to open in background)" button as I feared accidentally clicking that and deleting a whole tab even though I know the stash trash saves for 180 days. Happy that I decided to open a bunch of empty windows, save it as a stack, and test "accidentally" clicking the button; discovered that as soon as you click it, there's an option to "Undo" which restores them immediately. Anxiety lessened!! Grateful for the thoughtfulness of providing that feature.
Special shout out to the "compact" feature; providing customisable options on what happens when you click the extension button; dark/light/system modes.
Really really liking this and thinking about getting Firefox on my phone despite being too lazy to do so for ages, just so I can have this extension synced on my phone.
Thank you to the developer Josh Berry for making this and letting us use it for free. That's very very generous of you. It's decluttered my links/bookmarks, given me less visual strain when using Firefox, and it's extremely helpful.
Thanks so much! ship xDeveloper response
posted 3 maande geledeHi ship, thank you very much for the thoughtful review! I'm really glad to hear Tab Stash has helped to reduce the visual clutter and keep things organized.
There is good news and bad news on mobile—the good news is, since Tab Stash saves everything as bookmarks, your saved tabs are at least accessible on mobile. The bad news is Tab Stash itself doesn't run on mobile, because I'm not an Android user, and so I haven't been able to properly test and develop it on Android. (And Firefox for iOS doesn't support extensions at all—that one's completely on Apple though, heh.)
I have been thinking about ways of making mobile easier for both Android and iOS users—for example, offering to import any mobile bookmarks you save. We'll see.
Regardless, thanks again for taking the time to write up your thoughts, I was really happy to read this!

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17874178, 3 maande geledeCluttered and too complicated for what I want which is just saving groups of tabs and restoring them. I don't need so many settings and buttons and behaviors, making it a chore to use.

posted 3 maande geledeSorry to hear you found it cluttered; I'd love to hear what you think is unnecessary, as I've tried to keep most of the more advanced features out of the way. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17375676, 4 maande gelede
