The current version as of 12/22/2017 doesn't work with the latest version of Firefox. I loved the way it allowed me to see the progress of each download and reminded me of previous ones when I made a lot of them. I hope it gets updated soon!
I won't be updating Firefox until my favourite add-ons like this one are compatible.
Using FF52 (23/01/18 ignore the 'review' date, the site is screwed up)
Thank you for last fix update.
Спасибо, полезная вещь. :)
Good extension. Thank you!
You either like the download toolbar, the downloads tab or you're happy with the current download panel, I'm the latter; but you're not happy by the lack of features and customization, this addon is godsent!
Thanks for the great add-on! I only one new issue for some weeks, not sure if it is related to a new version of firefox, this add-on or another add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/gnotifier/reviews/?src=api: Whenever I start up Firefox I get a notification of all past downloads, one by one it will be displayed. When I disable the "Download Panel Tweaker" the problem does not occur. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Please add option to disable animations
There is built-in option in about:config: browser.download.animateNotifications
I checked "Also removed from history". Restarted. All of the downloads are still in history.
"Also removed from history" should not be just manual function. It should be option for browser restart/reload first of all.
"Also remove from history" is sub-option for "Middle-click to remove downloads from panel".
You can use "Clear Downloads" menu item from panel context menu to remove entire downloads history.
Great extension, allows you to have a great customization related to the download mechanics and hotkeys. I have to say thank you for making it compatible with Pale Moon, thanks!.
Well done sir! This mini tweak is what I was looking for, works fine in the latest Australis build (Firefox 29).
I switched to Aurora to try it out and suddenly it started to irritate me that I couldn't see speed without opening the download library. Its the same for firefox but I just noticed. This whipped it right into shape. Now I can see more of my downloads not just three and I have the "show all downloads" button to open sidebar. Never even heard of it but it is much easier. You are amazing Infocatcher!!!!
Great addon! Simple and nice..
Love this add-on. One small addition that would make it perfect would be that if you roll over an item in the list with your mouse without clicking, instead of just showing the name of the file (which it is already showing anyway) it displayed the source link it was downloading from. Thank you for making this.
Useful and nicely small in size (12 Kb).
Ever since Download Statusbar went defunt, I've been looking for something else simple and easy to use for managing my downloads. I tried Download Status Bar (which currently doesn't have the minimode/button that I was using before), and then rediscovered Firefox's download panel. I found that it worked decently as a replacement (I also liked the aesthetic better, and it integrated my theme), but two things were a problem - the download entries were uselessly bloated, and the current downloading speed wasn't shown unless I went to the main downloads window. This add-on was just what I needed. The entries are much slimmer and I can see the speed I'm downloading at. What's also nice is that I can now view more than the last 3 downloads.
There are a couple of other things I'd like to see - for one, I'd like to be able to delete files directly from the panel (such as in the case of a broken download that I want to restart), instead of having to dig through my downloads folder. It would be nice if the "Show All Downloads" button could be replaced with one that clears the download list. Also, it would be cool if there was some way to see the direct link (maybe when hovering over the download bar or something), rather than having to select "Copy Download Link" and then paste it somewhere else.
In any case, this addon is great for making Firefox's download manager more functional - I'm lucky to have found it. :D

So, currently I think, that it's enough to have "clear" items in the panel context menu.

May be done here: https://github.com/Infocatcher/Download_Panel_Tweaker/issues/14
A very good extension where the experienced author has provided the user with very good options, without swamping them with endless minor options.
Some improvements I would suggest -
#1. Right click on default Down button goes straight to Download Library.
#2. Remove the 100px width limitation on panel list(tree) in Download Library. Users could then fully minimise that tree, so that the Download Library was much more like the old Download Window.
#3. Option for Download Library to automatically open on download start, i.e. hit - PlacesCommandHook.showPlacesOrganizer("Downloads");
I think with the good existing options, you would then have a relatively simple extension that really did cover all the bases of the entire new download 'manager' and would make this a 'must have' extension for users.
Very well done, so far. (insert clapping smilie here)
