Now to its credit, it lets you daily for free translate 20 pages, not a lot, but its something.
The translation is good, puts the text where it needs to go, but that is only a part of the functioning.
It only kind of works. Where it fails is user control. There is a menu on the left side, shows your daily quota and settings. Its invasive so you want to close it, But if you do there is no way to reopen it on firefox. Click the extension icon, nothing. You have to go to manage extensions and turn off the extension and turn it back on, this opens that side bar on every open window.
And you will need to do this whenever using it as the "show on all sites" button on that menu is how you turn this on and off.
This very clunky way of having to turn it on and off is why I removed another star.
Also a big minus, the daily allowance of 20 is very different than how the paid version is. Many would think you would get to pay for it to be 100 a day at the next tier, or build upon the current system, but no its a pay per use kind of thing, where you buy credits per month. Just kind of needlessly confusing. $5 for 4000, $10 for 10000, or $20 for 30000. Amusing 1 credit is 1 translation, but I am not even sure it is.
I get its not free, but all of these translators are on a pay per use system instead of pay and just be able to use it unlimited. The prices on all of these seems excessively high, I find it hard to believe you wouldn't rake in profit if it was $5 a month with unlimited. Its a AI scan program, your not consuming resources, the upkeep can't be much. - Rated 1 out of 5by obbnom, 4 months ago
