RC Print

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Handy little addon that allows me to print much more quickly and easily than the default FF method.

ONE PROBLEM is that on FF Dev Ed (40.x), with e10s enabled, using RC Print will crash all the open tabs. Disabling e10s, or disabling this addon, will remove the problem. I would have added a post to the support site but the link wasn't working. Hopefully this can get rectified before 40 hits release.

14 June 2015: Just re-enabled this, and the problem on FDE 40 still persists. No word from the addon developer on this.

Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar Plus

Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Required the allowing of "sponsored links" in order to use any options. I uninstalled immediately.

Remember Passwords

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This has worked well for me for years. I recently read that it is obsolete, as FF 30 and up have this setting configured already, but on 31 beta it is still necessary to get FF to insert passwords into the login fields.

NetVideoHunter

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Works very well in FF 29. I get a variety of sizes, and always the biggest MP4 if there is a choice. Excellent addon.

PrefBar

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Very nice addon. The only one that can put links alongside the navigation toolbar. It is very customizable, with spacers and separators so you can get it just right.

FindBar Tweak

Works great, restores old FF findbar Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I recall FF having a count of the number of items that were found. This addon restores this. It also lets you change the colors of the results (including the one that is being shown), and much much more. I love it.

Blue Firefox Theme

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Very smooth. The blues are nice and dark, but not so dark that it is jarring to look at; it is still light enough for my toolbar icons to be seen. Nor does it have too much frill so that you are distracted. This is a very nice personal. Well done!

Lightweight Themes Manager

Great Persona Manager Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This is a nice way to manage personas (lightweight themes that only change the toolbar graphic, leaving the icons alone). You can hover over each theme, and see what it looks like without actually changing the theme. In the FF default theme manager, you have to enable the theme, and if you have a lot, you might forget which one you had originally. Helpful.

One bit of advice--I found that the Compact View was easiest for me to use--all I want is the ability to enable/disable each theme; the default view gives you all sorts of incidental crud that the theme author inserted.

Firefox Shine

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Very attractive theme. It is a nice light blue, so my icons are easily seen; the nice FF graphic on the right is a nice FF decoration, but nothing in the theme is so loud it distracts me by grabbing my attention too much. Very well done.

Gmail Notifier (restartless)

Works great Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Excellent addon. Not only does it have a lot of options, but it works flawlessly. It even has an email preview, so you can read the first few lines of an email by hovering over the icon, without having to load your webmail page. You can delete, mark as read, etc., from this preview. Very helpful.

Classic Theme Restorer

Makes Australis Useable! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Thanks, Aris. Now I can use Australis and help test development builds. I don't use all of CTR's options. For me, it was the moveable back/forward buttons (now sitting on the far left of my navigation bar), and the combined stop/reload just to the left of the URL bar.

This extension has a LOT of options so if you have a problem with Australis, this really should be your first stop.

Click to Play per-element

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Does exactly what it says it does--plugins won't start unless you click on each item. Love it. I've always hated loading a page and hearing a video start automatically, and then having to find it. No more!

Office Black

Love the colors, not all the extra space Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Colors are a very nice contrast with black and grey. Very smooth to the eye, yet attractive. I only gave it 4 stars, because there is a small but definitely noticeable additional gap between all icons and bookmarks; kind of clunky 90s looking. I was hoping to see some options for reducing this. If all this space is the default view, I'd greatly appreciate an option to minimize it in a future release.

bug419911 (diagonal dragging)

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Does just what it says it will--keeps bookmark folders open longer. 5 stars!

PDF Viewer

Works fine, but downloads go to Temp folder Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

I like it a lot. I'd prefer FF to open up a PDF with Foxit inside a new tab, but this is a decent substitute.

One problem--I've noticed that downloads go to the Temp folder. This isn't a major problem, given that after d/l, it opens up the file in the default viewer, allowing me to save it to desktop. Ultimately, I'd really like to see something that other browsers have--that brings up the PDF inside the browser window, allowing you to save it if you want, to your default folder. But this is a nice substitute.

FXChrome

Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Nice, although it seems to have made the icons a bit smaller (and I don't have the Use Small Icons option checked). Other than this, I like it.... I'm coming back to FF after having used Chrome for a while, and this is very nice.

Tabs Always In Titlebar

Just does like it says Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

After leaving Google Chrome and returning to Firefox, I realized that I loved the way Chrome economized on screen real estate. This add-on gave me just what I liked about Chrome. You have to hide the menu bar first, and then your FF window looks sleek just like Chrome does--with the support community that Chrome utterly lacks.
