Tired of being redirected to a local Google site when you specifically want Google.com?
Use "Google dot com", not "dot something else". Use Google.com, in English, without being redirected to a country-specific Google site when you're not in the US.
Search using Google.pt (Portugal).
Google search of .pt websites
Google search of .uk websites
Brilliant, thank you. (glitch) Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
Thanks, dude. Really wanted this. Nice also to find that your add-on allowed for placing the status text in the location bar.
To reproduce glitch:
1) Have more than one open tab. 2) Move cursor off-window. 3) Load or reload a webpage. 4) Let it finish loading so status reads "Done". 5) Use keyboard shortcut to switch tabs. 6) Notice the favicon changes according to active tab, but url text is frozen, unless you hover over a link or switch to a tab with status bar text activity. B) If the "Clear the status after... seconds" is on, and you wait for the status text to clear, the fake url will fade away along with it. C) Also, if you edit the url, the status text disappears and doesn't come back by itself when you finish editing.
Using version 2010.11.20.19 on ff4.0b7. Five stars anyways, coz this is a must have.

Thanks, the add-on's very useful. This submenu ought to come as an option in firefox, out of the box.
I recommend it to anyone who uses two or more search engines regularly.
Using it on 4.0b6.
Had to increase maxVersion in the install.rdf file inside the xpi but it's working like a charm.
Hides the title bar perfectly well but... Noté 2 sur 5 étoiles
Maximize is botched - expands the window to a 1260 by 918px rectangle hitched to the top-left corner of my 1400 by 1050 screen. This alone, as you can imagine, makes it unusable for me. Alt-space+R to restore the window size (unmaximize) doesn't work either.
Would be nice if you could double-click toolbars or statusbar to replicate the double-clicking-titlebar behaviour. Also, personally, I'd rather not have to install the Tiny Menu which, annoyingly, immediately makes itself at home, so to speak. I use the Personal Menu add-on and am quite happy with it.
Am using FF3.6 on WinXP. Will try this add-on again at a later date to see if resizing issues have been fixed, in which case I'd likely re-review. In the mean time, can't use nor recommend.

Feature request: It would be cool (and easy for you) if you would add a checklist of the languages the user wants in the Language Option. With "Browser Languages Only" selected I don't get the languages I usually use in search whilst without it I get a long and impractical list.
Was also gonna say that you should add a link to your support page on the add-on page but not only was the Feature Request page on your Forum a pain to open (only after maaany attempts and as almost many timeouts did it open), it also told me No Posting Via Proxy. I am not behind any proxy, unless you count my router, in which case that's just... well, not user friendly at all, is it?
Anyways. Like the add-on, it gives very useful options for filtering results. Like that it's configurable, especially since I really only need some of the available features.
No option for four and a half stars...

Generally useful and works alright.
You should specify that when setting up, in "Account Settings", the "Google Login" is only the google username since inputing firstname.lastname@example.org generates an error.
Problem: When you click the "Go to Google Wave" option, the unread count disappears and only shows up again once the add-on next checks the account and the status-bar icon refreshes.
Suggestion 1: Clicking the status bar icon should take you to the Google Wave Inbox instead of having to right-click and selecting an option.
Suggestion 2: Check-box preferences in the settings to select which panels one would like minimized when going to the account. One check-box per panel (nav, contact, search) to change the address one goes to to a variation of https://wave.google.com/wave/?pli=1#minimized:nav,minimized:contact,minimized:search

Great idea. This add-on is very handy, indeed.
Really like that it so versatile and easily customizable. Do give it a try. Has room for improvement but really useful just as it is. Will continue to use and recommend.
Works well, though it's not what i was looking for Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles
This add-on does what it is meant to. It returns English results. It does, however and therefore, work in the same way as a country specific add-on would work, limiting the scope of your search in the same way that using 'Google.fr' will preferably return French results by default. Since I travel a bit, I tended to get redirected to the local country-specific Google site when using the default engine in Firefox. What i actually wanted was an add-on that would produce the same effect as clicking on the "Go to Google.com" link on localized Google sites, keeping the interface English but not restricting the search results. There is now an add-on that does just that, so I'll be using the other one. but thanks for the contribution, many will find it very useful.
