It can sync bookmark between one computer to another! but it isn't work recently .I don't know, what happened

Earlier worked well. Now disgustingly. Destroys structure of bookmarks and does not synchronize correctly between Safari-Firefox (MAC)-Firefox (PC). Suitable only creation of a backup of bookmarks.

Been using since 2006... still the best synchronizer.
Love the (depreciated) password sync because it uses the built in password manager unlike most other services (including lastpass) that handle passwords with its own extension.

Muito bom! Uso há mais de 2 anos para salvar meus favoritos, recomendado!

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I was ecstatic when I discovered Xmarks. "Here's a way to easily transport bookmarks between all computers!" I thought. My experience was different.

Initially, things went well. I was able to use my bookmarks on every computer -- super. However, several times now, my bookmarks on the server have become corrupted; say, it duplicated a bunch of them, so that you'd have twice as many, and all your bookmark folders would be empty. When your computer syncs with the server, it not only corrupts the bookmarks on your local computer, but further corrupts the bookmarks on the server. If you don't check your bookmarks constantly, it might be several days before you notice -- I noticed when my browser started crashing constantly on sync, because my corrupt bookmark file was huge.

The solution is to restore to a previous version of your bookmarks. But if you have to do that much regular maintenance work, why bother having a plug-in?!? Just export your bookmarks regularly and keep them in a file on a USB drive. Same functionality, far less hair-pulling frustration.

The sad part is this used to work flawlessly when it was Foxmarks. I don't know what changes were put into place or where, but it broke a decent add-on.

My institution blocked xmarks server. So I couldn't sync for a while. Could you offer one more server option?

total crap Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Most of the time it does not sync, probably due to the Xmarks server... It has not worked properly for many months now. Some days ago I finally uninsulated this crap. I now use Firefox sync witch works wonderfully!

The version of Xmarks on the Firefox Addons webiste is out of date. It sometimes freezes when you try to sync your bookmarks.

Go to http://download.xmarks.com/download and get the latest version from them. It solves the problem.

Total Shit Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Hasn't worked with Firefox in over 2 years. I finally got sick of the problem and deleted it from my browsers and installed eversync instead.

I used xmarks all the time to sync across my chrome and firefox browsers on Mac,PC and Linux. Unfortunately it has stopped syncing properly on all products and platforms. I had to switch to eversync which has similar functionality. They haven't updated this product since May 2013 which probably accounts for why it isn't working. Shame I usually never switch a product unless it stops working. Now I'll never switch back.

Used to be my fave addon. Now it is rubbish. Ever since it became part of lastpass it hasn't worked. Doesn't sync anymore or it loop syncs forever. Often it loses bookmarks, I'm never certain if it has sync'd the latest changes or not. Occasionally have to log in to the web interface to make sure my bookmarks are there. Would not recommend.

4.2.5 doesn't help on Windoz 7 Noté 2 sur 5 étoiles

I seem to of gotten FF and Xmarks to behave on Ubuntu, but on Windows I am using Chrome where Xmarks works just fine. Tried to upgrade Windows FF to 4.2.5 with no success. All it did was freeze and mess up all my bookmarks. If Chrome adds many more of my favorite add-ons, then I may be saying goodbye to FF.

Since some time this stopped working. Now it's a piece of crap: I lose my bookmarks almost every day, get sync errors, file corruption etc. I wish i could find an alternative to that because i can't advice anyone to use it any more.
And you can ask for support: nobody will answer

This is an incredible piece of shit! It used to be great. Now it fucks up at least one of my computers every week that I need to rmove xmarks, delete places.sqlite, bookmarks backup and every trace of xmarks before I restart FF and reinstall xmarks and download the bookmarks again, loosing whatever changes there were. It's pure crap these days.

Adverts....Well I used adblock to block all the ads Xmarks was embedding in all the pages I visited. But something just didn't sit right with me. Allowing an app to monitor my activity to present ads to me...that defeats the purpose of even having adblock and ghostery and related addons. I'll live without syncing my bookmarks. It's just not worth it to me to have this app if that's the tradeoff.

I agree with the others. This once worked well. Now I have to be careful not to mix platforms or make too many changes or else random folders end up empty and I have tons of unsorted bookmark folders. Don't bother buying support. They won't answer your ticket anyway.

Finally its back...

Ideaal om je bookmarks te synchronizeren over verschillende browsers.

TIP: Let er wel op bij een manuele synchronizatie dat je niet je Server-bookmarks ongewild overschrijft. Het is beter soms een backup van je bookmarks te maken.
