Perfect addon for my needs Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I needed something to just quickly translate occasional sentences and that addon does just that.

Poor user interface Noté 2 sur 5 étoiles

It doesn't display a list of definitions for a word. The outcome is one word. No audio link. Poor user interface.

Firefox 35.0.1, Windows 8.1 x64 Noté 2 sur 5 étoiles

Плюсы: есть возможность настройки целевого языка и горячих клавиш (Ctrl+), нет необходимости скакать между вкладками. Минус: нет перевода страницы целиком (отсутствие выделения вызывает перевод слова "null").

Not working Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

Seems to have stopped working properly on FF 27.0.1. Previous versions were fine. Very simple and easy to use: Highlight text>right click>"Translate Selectioin With Google Translate". Translated text would appear on the web page in place of the original native text.

Same thing on several PCs.

Try FF 28.

It still works for me. Check you have no addon that blocks pop ups. Noscript can help maybe to filter out lots of unnecessary script files from websites that can slow or stop things.

It works, including text-to-speech (v. 0.1.1, new add-on) Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This new add-on works pretty well. We select text, Ctrl-6 or right click, and get full-featured Google Translate (with text-to-speech, etc.) in a pop up, which can be quickly closed with the Esc key. Really, really useful.

A very small bug with v. 0.1.1, and workarounds: With the #auto option, sometimes the text-to-speech icon doesn't initially appear for the source language, however it appears when specifying a default source language in the add-on preferences, for example #en/es (English to Spanish) if this is our most used pair. Or as well using #auto and clicking later on the specific language button of Google Translate, as a workaround. Probably they will fix this small bug in next versions.

After trying a number of language add-ons, I'm using this one, basically Google Translate in a quick pop up.

not working Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

installation and configuration was no big deal. but when i select a text passage or single word and hit ctrl+6, it just opens an empty google translate form. the text is not being transferred into the form, no translation is happening. [firefox 20.0.1, windows 7]
time to check out some other translation plugin.

Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (0.1.1-signed.1-signed).

It seems to work fine for me in FF 20. I am not sure why it is not working for you. Maybe if you have some kind of blocking addon like NoScript or something else might be causing it not to transfer. I know I have to let NoScript permit Google and GStatic to make it transfer correctly. I really do not know what else to suggest.
