Only "worked" when database was fine to begin with Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Does great when database was fine to begin with, shockingly! Has some infinite loop in cleanup when database is wonky. This led to 100% CPU usage and even after hitting Cancel kept running, and firefox had to be killed. IOW not only does it not work when you have a poor database, but also makes you lose your session. So in my limited experience, absolutely useless.

Works well.

Pretty fast and simple Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Works fine for me.
Still it would be nice if You add some additional options regarding automation options (clean every X days) and cleaning rare items (visited less than X times)

Lightining fast and efficient Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

If this thing says the truth, it should have reduced the size of my places.sqlite database by almost a third. First impression is really excellent.

works thx!

Hangs up Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

It gets as far as "Cleaning up ..." and then stops. I had it running all night, and still had the same message when I got in this morning. As far as I can tell it does nothing.

Checking integrity... Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

Hello,

I'm trying to run the maintenance but it always just gets stuck on "Checking integrity" and nothing seems to happen, no matter how long I wait.

My issue is, that sometimes when I close the browser after a long session, places.sqlite gets corrupted. For now, I've been able to fix it by simply deleting the new places file and renaming the old places.sqlite.corrupt back to places.sqlite.

However I'm not sure how long I can keep doing this before it just becomes corrupted for good. What should I do? I was really hoping this addon would solve my issues.

Looks like your corruption is worse. Please check https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Tech/Places/places.sqlite_Database_Troubleshooting#How_to_(try_to)_recover_from_a_corrupt_places.sqlite

Absolutely Essential Extension Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I previously awarded this extension 4 stars. Upon reading my review, the developer promptly and kindly responded with a clarification about an issue. You can't ask for more than that. Accordingly, I've changed my review to 5 stars!

Thank you for this excellent extension. It is absolutely essential to work around serious bugs in Firefox.

The keywords system in Firefox itself is quite buggy. Running this extension will clean up the mess made by Firefox.

I would not be able to recommend Firefox if it was not for the existence of this extension and its generous author.

Seems to work well. Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

If there are errors, it seems to find and successfully correct them. THANKS!

Semplice, lineare e funzionante Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

places.sqlite 80MB+
webappsstore.sqlite 101MB+

Not run since last update. Noté 2 sur 5 étoiles

Ran with FF47 after resting PM for long time. Seems to run as I recall. Don't know what's happens out-of-view in places.sqlite.
places.sqlite10,240kb before and after
-shm 32 before and after
-wal 609 before, 33 after
don't know if shm and wal matter
Does Places Maintenance support FF47x64...?

Doesn't work on some profiles Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

It just gets stuck on "Fetching stats..." (just left it for 10 hours). My places.sqlite is 10 MB, and has -shm and -wal files but no .corrupt files next to it. And there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to report bugs. It *does* work on a new-ish test profile, though.

@MAK, I think this addon is more to use when your Places database is broken or corrupted. Not as a cleaning or vacuuming tool.

A little help in understanding please Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

I know I can't be the only person who is not quite sure what exactly these "places" category of addons do.

What's the difference between cleaning the databases and vacuuming the databases?

Does this addon do the navigation bar history too or no?

Thanks.

お手軽 Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
