Yeah, not downloading this until he decides to put an explanation. A screenshot doesn't tell me how to use it.

fixed history Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I kept on losing most of my history, it just didn't get recorded by Firefox. Same story update after update. After running this, it never happened again. Bookmarks untouched. The bookmark window simplified back again as I liked it.

Location bar was displaying browsing history that had been deleted.
Mozilla insanely insisting that deleting history would solve the problem, which of course it didn't.
Running "maintenance" solved this problem without messing with bookmarks or anything else.
Thank you very very much.

This addon fixed my "Sync encounterd an error" problem. Unfortunately, possibly due to my own ignorance of how this add-on works, my bookmarks seem to have been scrambled. Folders are all in same place but sub folders and individual bookmarks seem to have been completely randomized, mostly posting this as a warning to check out what each function does before running it. Still helped a LOT more than it (maybe) hurt.

Sync was encountering an error. Clicky-clicky with this tool and *poof* everything worked fine. Not even a restart. Awesome!

Tool could be a million times better if it implemented 3 options:

1) Entry in Tool menu
2) Auto-backup
3) Scheduled maintenance.

Mein Firefox verhielt sich gar sonderbar,
was Bookmarks betraf. Sie ließen sich unter
anderem nicht als HTML speichern und
verschwanden auf misteriöse Weise von der
Anzeige. Weitere Unstimmigkeiten
zähle ich hier nicht auf. Ich war kurz vor
einer kompletten Löschung der Database !!!

Places Maintenance musste die Database neu
erstellen, übernahm aber dabei (fast?) alle
Daten. Ich konnte jedenfalls noch keinen
Datenverlust feststellen. Firefox sollte dieses
tolle Programm fest in den Browser integrieren!

My Firefox behaved even weird,
What related bookmarks. You could see
others do not save as HTML and
disappeared in misterious ways of
Display. More inconsistencies
I do not count on here. I was nearing
a complete deletion of the database!

Places maintenance had to the database
create, took over but (almost?) all
Data. I couldn't anyway, even
Notice the loss of data. Firefox should this
great program firmly integrated in the browser!

Brilliant life-saver! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Brilliant addon, absolute life-saver. Everything was corrupted, insane, and then this addon fixed it all. I wasn't sure if it was going to work because when I launched Firefox, after running the addon, nothing happened for about one min; but then Firefox opened and everything is peachy back to normal. I can't recommend this highly enough. Thanks!

it told me that the places.sqlite is corrupted, and will be repaired upon restart.

but after restart, FF will not open except if you remove that addon

I was having problems with sync errors for both Firefox sync and Xmarks. This appeared to fix both issues.

It's actually works! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I found this extension after autocomplete in my address bar stopped working. And this addon did exactly what expected - it fixed history database file and now I can be happy again.

Thank you!

Not sure if this is doing anything at all. I run the processes, but when the list says things like this:
> Vacuum
Initial database size is 20480 KiB
+ The database has been vacuumed
Final database size is 20480 KiB

In other words, it looks like it's done nothing at all, especially since that's the exact same number given when I did this a couple days ago. So, what should it be doing, and why doesn't it look it's doing anything?

Your database is already at its minimum size, if its size doesn't change, means it can't be shrinked further.

Good idea except i dont understand what all means.. I dont want to loose or have bad result. I dont want to loose if doesnt work link or duplicate lost on some computer. Give explanation what each option means if not in addon then at least in description.

great tool, but it needs button and "periodic/automatic purging"

Nice add on Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Thank you whoever you are for this tool as all my web history just disappeared for an unknown reason and this add on has got me it all back

Great addon! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Thank you for this great addon, it fixed all my problems with the bookmark not displaying correctly!

Good, but could use a couple of enhancements Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

This is a handy tool to have, but not having a button for it (the "Tools" menu would be a good place) makes it easy to forget it's installed. Having to execute the extension from the Tools > Add-ons page is cumbersome. Also the ability to re-size the options window would make it easier to read. I would have brought up these issues in your support forum, but you don't seem to have one (at least no link to one on this page).

The method described in Firefox' documentation did not work but this tool worked perfectly. Thanks, keep up good work!

Praise God! Xmarks has been crashing Firefox for months on several versions and this fixed it! I ran a deep clean and rebuilt the indices and voila! THANKS!!

Documentation would be nice, but worth the gamble. Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I still have no clue how this tool works, but am glad I heeded the great reviews here. I ran the full kit [after backing up], & this add-on solved an intolerable problem.

[Also glad I ignored all the advice--including some from Mozilla--suggesting users worry about too many bookmarks, how deeply they're nested, etc. Rubbish. What's the point of a fast PC w/ample RAM if you can't count on it to remember all the stuff you need?]
