Believe me, I really really really want to replace Ghostery and it's dishonest developers. The issue here is it still is lacking in some functionality. With some modest improvements it could really do it though.
The last 2 updates contain this unwanted change. I have tons of add-ons and only FP comes with a label- which screws up custom toolbars.
I have opened up an internal support ticket and I eagerly await writing an improved review when this mistake is corrected.
Deleting reviews is deceiving the public. It is wrong and this is not a 5* service.
My initial testing was too optimistic. There are some issues.
It's toolbar icon in the customization menu is broken(but not after being placed on the bars.) However, I wont risk keeping it there because buggy icons destroy custom setups.
It also is failing when tested on this very page. It is able to get the font in some sections- and in others it wrongly claims multiple element selections.
I like the extension- but it needs some work.
Years ago this one was pretty good. It has long since been abandoned. The dust and cobwebs are growing.
This was one of those extensions that I always had- but never really used.
The idea of a local bookmark rater was great. I have thousands of websites in my Ultimate List- but unfortunately this one required users to go into properties and rate them there. Also, it only showed if people click on properties- something 99+% of people never are going to do.
What it should have done is create some sort of display either in the bookmark dropdown, sidebar or even in the status bar(You still can have one if you run Palemoon instead of Failfox.)
WIPS needs to be banned as their business model goes against everything open source stands for. They buy out old trusted extensions and turn them into spyware.
This still in many ways is a good extension and it should keep working indefinitely- at least on Palemoon. PM is stable and doesn't have Failfox's disastrous UI changes every five minutes.
However, support is done and the developer's email has gone dead. If you try to contact him it will just bounce back as undeliverable.
It might be possible to replace this one with several other extensions- but that would be considerable work putting it all together.
After testing it out for others who wanted proxies it appears to be working well. However, -1 star for deleting the old review. I would have done that on my own. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.5.1-signed).
Not long ago I set out to test and compare the proxy add-ons. This one had some initial promise- but it also had a bunch of problems.
The developer is unresponsive and this site has a link to a broken blog. Also, the add-on hasn't had an update since 2011. Maybe someone could develop a fork of it. Until then I don't see how this one could be trusted.
Although I already had a working "find" setup this does give a number of good improvements. For me the most useful is the multi-tab support. At this very moment I have 327 open and there certainly are situations in which it will come in handy.
Overall it appears well done and I have yet to see any bugs. Good job!
You did it! Stylish was always something handy and and it lives!
DW-Dev has it together. If there ever is an issue give him a little time and he always comes through. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (13.2.1-signed). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
It took a while to find some sponsored content so I went and used the very articles in the description and it did work.
The idea here is good and so far the execution is working.
Lastly, despite whatever nonsense Mozilla says it works just fine in Palemoon(25.1 x64)
It barely works and the developer doesn't respond to simple questions.
The bottom line is almost anything related to personas probably is more trouble than it is worth.
It also isn't working in Palemoon. I have been blitzing the tab suspenders and frankly none of them are worth a rip. There is an opening here for a developer who wants to cut the mustard.
This one failed and I wrote the developer in 2 languages and gave him weeks to respond. I thought about it and he also hadn't responded to mails from years back with other failed add-ons.
IMO Piro_or was once on it- but apparently he has vanished. Be warned.
As of late 2014 this simultaneously is both 1* and 5*.
It still works beautifully for email but dead in Palemoon- hence the average of 3*
It is a shame because for a while this one actually was pretty handy. Now that that GUID has been changed it renders this one virtually useless. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.1-signed).
Thank you for the Palemoon update! Well done! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (11.13.1-signed).
In Palemoon 25.02 it is working nice and fine. Plus I really enjoy installing things that Mozilla tries to tell me I can't.
