This doesn't seem to work in the UK like the information suggests. I cannot find any UK store which has any codes, eBay, Amazon, large department stores, nothing! There is no Market option for the UK in the options so it doesn't look like there is any support despite there claiming to be. I have tried it on USA stores and the browser bar did shows coupons available so the extension is working. Please fix the details so people don't waste time on extensions which are of no use in specific locations.
I've missed for a long time being able to export a list of extension names so that I know what I had installed. I used to use MR Tech Toolkit which enabled even more options that this extension provides but was quite a lot larger. For a more minimalist extension it does the job well.
I don't really see a purpose to this extension because FF does have a similar functionality built in the options. Text and Color Advanced has the option to set the minimum font size which alone changes most text that I have tried. There is also the option to allow pages to select their own fonts which could override the minimum font size, but if this is deselected then it should not be a problem.
Maybe this extension does something extra but I cannot see any benefit to it.
As it is, Screen Capture Elite 220.127.116.11 doesn't work with Firefox 11. After upping the maxversion in the install file, it does work. Any extensions which can do this automatically at install should also work.
It does seem to work so far after limited testing.
Why cannot KeeFox toolbar be used to contain the weather reports? I am sure that I have used it in the past. I did leave a review asking about making it work in a different location, although that might of been the menu bar.
I have the KeeFox toolbar which is very empty and it would be an ideal location having the weather on the right of it.
I'm using FF 3.6
The biggest problem with this extension for me is that when pasting to the search box, it does not show the text, it only searches for it. Therefore the same search or alteration of it cannot be done with another search engine. An older extension that I used with FF 3.5 did paste the text to the search box which worked far better for me.
I'm using FF 3.6.22
Thanks, that works for one of my Firefox browsers but it was totally unnecessary for my other one. Both are Sandboxed separately and the script you mention after editing in the none working one made the FF WebMail work. In the other Sandboxed browser the script is as the original and that is still checking gmail successfully so this might start to explain why the developer missed this. The working browser with the unaltered script has only one gmail account setup whereas the other browser which required the script to be altered had many gmail accounts plus a few hotmail.
How about putting the shortcut key on the options screen as a reminder. Putting it near the bottom of the options tab would be a useful place for it. ;) I keep forgetting the keys and keep having to search for them.Otherwise it's an excellent extension.
Information to BlueBerry938:
It does work like the pictures suggest. You can even watch a video to see how it works. Click the toolbar icon and the available emoticons will show in a sidebar where you can double click them to insert into the text area.
Or type the assigned shortcut into the text area and press the convert key (Ctrl+Shift+F) to replace the shortcut with the image.
It works perfectly and it's an excellent extension.
It used to work fairly well for me, but recently it has stopped and doesn't find anything at all. On many sites such as google search, it very rarely even show the toolbar. When it does show the toolbar saying it is searching for cheaper prices, it never finds any.
I think that this has only occurred since I updated to the latest version 3.1.5.
This is the first time I have used this extension. Previously I was using PasteandGo 3 which worked quite well.
This extension doesn't replace the text field when searching which is a bit annoying as it means the same search cannot be done with a different search engine if the clipboard gets overwritten.
PasteandGo 3 did do that.
I have just installed 0.8.6 and I'm getting a pop up error window every time the options page opens, this window open multiple times. Apart from that it is working okay.
[TypeError: doc.getElementById("rdoF") is null]
It did not do this on another Firefox browser using an earlier version of AniWeather.
The detect location also has a problem in the UK as already mentioned. It won't accept UK but does accept United Kingdom.
I have just updated to 0.8.3 and initially there was a problem with it removing my search bar which it was previously positioned just before on the Menu bar because it couldn't be put after the Search Bar. But after I changed the options to Menu Bar (Rightmost) it worked fine and finally put the reports where I had wanted them because before this update they weren't in an ideal position.Hopefully the minor bugs will be fixed with the positioning but overall this is a big improvement for usability reasons.
Here is a screenshot to show how I now have it positioned.http://www.imgbx.com/images.php/i2985_Aniweather.jpg
I cannot put the weather information where I would like it. It won't go on the end of the bookmarks toolbar or after the search which I have on the menu toolbar after the menus. Those are the only two places where it would fit well. The status bar is the only place where it will work but that means it cuts off any URL display which is a higher priority in my book.
If the positioning was better it would be far more usable.
I installed an older version previously which didn't work. Updating to the latest works better and so far on one site it is stopping repeated Alert boxes. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Please add the key shortcuts to this webpage so it can easily be seen. I keep forgetting the key and finding it is difficult.
Ideally it would be clearly visible.
This is an extension that I have wanted for a very long time. I did mention a similar idea to the producer of SmileyXtra as that went totally crap after he changed it so he wouldn't need to keep updating the smiley database, but nothing ever happened.
Now this is exactly what I wanted, even includes the essential ability to save the smileys/emoticons.
There is one problem I have experienced and that is the short cut key doesn't seem to work. Ctrl+Alt+E or Ctrl+Alt+A does nothing but show a character, it doesn't convert the text to emoticons like the instructions suggest. Not a total deal breaker but for speed, not having to reach for the mouse would of been good.
Thank you. The perfect addon for Keepass users.
Be aware everyone - it does not work with Titlebar tweaker! Mr Techs Toolkit works fine however to use multiple Firefox browsers with different password sets in Keepass :)
Using these with Proxomitron and JDList gives me the time/date of page load in titlebar and website which is perfect for forum use.
It is for spell checking text boxes/web forms etc. After installing any incorrectly entered text in text boxes and web forms are underlined and if the word is highlight and right clicked a menu shows with suggested corrections.
There is a spellbound extension which improves spellchecking and makes it more like older versions of FF as they used spellbound too.
This used to be an awesome extension when using earlier versions of FF, the best of it's kind. It made doing some work so much easier when waiting for information to appear on certain sites.
Why has no one taken this project back up?
Did the Author Die or something?
May he rest in peace!
It's 0.0.8 that I use, from the homesite. Changing the maxversion in the install.rdf seems to work, or using Mr tech toolkit will do it.
